INFJ (only 1% difference with INFP) Space Wolves are my primary, but I am saving up money to start a large IG force. I also have Dark Eldar and Space Marines (Iron Hands) I choose my armies mainly because of looks. I chose Space Wolves because I love Vikings and because they have awesome looking beards. I chose Iron Hands because I love their colour scheme, symbols and their love of machines. I chose Dark Eldar because I love the way their vehicles look. I am going to use Vostroyan IG models because they are Russian and look classy. I am going to use Elysian IG models because I love their armour. They are going to get different helmets though.

Its been a few years, but I'm an INTX. Yes, INTX. You see, every time I take one of those damned MBTI tests (I've taken it about 3 or 4 times now in person, never took one online), there is always ONE question, just ONE (and afaik its never been the same one), that I do not like any of the answer options for, and lo and behold, every damned time I take the test, I am literally split down the middle between INTJ and INTP. On two occasions I was more or less forced to answer that one question afterwards, and both times I answered it netted me different results. So, I'm sticking with the INTX explanation because in my mind, its a load of bull anyway, and if I'm literally on the dividng line there, then who the hell knows what my actual MBTI is?
As for armies I play... well, I pretty much collect them all... goddamn I'm a total mess lol.
BTW, I'm going to throw this out there, the INTJ is supposedly the rarest personality type, and the INTP is a close second, yet it seems like half the posts in here are by INTJ's and/or INTP's. Perhaps a better topic of study would be trends in wargamer MBTI's rather than armies and MBTIs. It seems logical to me that certain personality types would be drawn to the hobby, I dont see what personality type would have to do with ones favorite army however, since thats more of an aesthetic choice than a personality thing (in my mind anyway, in my case I pick my favorite armies/units on how they look, not how they function).

Trust an ENTP to start these rounds of questions.
I am an ENTP with the E being very close to I. I have a tyranid army, DE and SW and TK in fantasy. I also own some GK models and some BA models that never went any where. A lot of it is half painted and I do not play so often and I rarly play the same armylist twice. A lot of unfinished but creative projects are the trademark of the ENTP.
What would be a more interesting question would be to mach meyer brigs personalaty to play styles. My hypothesis is that INTJ often want to play comeptativly since they are very results orientaited. ENTJ would also be very competative. I do not remeber wich one of the meyer brigs wich is the competative sports jock (It is one if the ExFx) but that one should also be competative. I also suspect that a lot of Introverts play warhammer as it can be a very solitary hobby with the painting and you play with relativly few people.
You could also try to mach this with Richard Bartle and diferent type of players. I would suppose a lot of competative players would be a cross between assassins and achievers.

Im an INTJ with 1% between J and P, and i prefer the Blood Angels for their story and fighting capabilities, guys who have access to laser cannons but prefer to shred their enemiaes face to face and thats the way i play them. Second is an endless nid swarm of expendables as per fluff, no nidzilla for me

The rarest type is INFJ with 1.46 % of population
then it's ENTJ with 1.8 %, then it's INTJ 2.1 %. Sorry my personality type makes me correct incorrect data if I see it

You're probably INTJ, given your suspicions of the process, and a willingness to retake the test many times in order to "properly" categorize yourself. This would be especially true if you read the answers, and try to tailor your results in any way.

Took that test and got INFP. It seemed pretty loaded though - "a thirst for adventure is close to your heart" is a pretty hard question to say no to!
Army is Orks because I love the conversion prospects, the fluff, and their status as a 'not taking it too seriously' army. Hate their playstyle though, horde armies are so unfun to play with.
Also have but am selling a Khorne/Slaneesh chaos daemons and marines force. Love the close combat and aesthetics
Collected small armies of all sorts of stuff but selling/sold most of it.

I never expected to get this many results/feedback. I suppose something could be gathered from all the data laying around in here... Interesting enough (And kind of suspected) there would be a higher concentration of INTJs then any other. Look for something to come from the data in at the very least a form of tally in the future. I'm a busy person so if anyone else wants to they are more then welcome.

I didn't really have much of a choice lol, it was a required test in several of my classes in college. That being said, I think I tend to skew more towards the INTP, although both descriptions sound an awful lot like me lol.
