This was the experience at my
FLGS gaming auction. They happen twice a year and it seems the last few times at the end of the night there were boxes of books, many of them
GW codicies, at the end. They asked the remaining participants to go through them and take out what they wanted to bid on. Most of those items fetched only a 1-3 bucks each.
Rulebooks, however seemed to fetch a few dollars more. Also, stuff from 2nd edition
40k and earlier, and the same era of warhammer books seemed to fetch a few bucks more than most.

Definitely. Trading is the way to go for this kind of stuff that doesn't have a big market value. Especially if you can trade in lots.
