That's awesome about the 2 Hero choices. Then I don't have to decide between a Doombull and Great Bray Shaman.
Seems like having those two then 2 shamans and a wargor would be good support for the units.
I agree with you about the AHW on the gors. Seems like having a parry is good in theory but how many sixes will I really roll? That seems like the only load out for them.
What is considered to be the smallest load out for a minobus? I ask because the bestigors seem really solid. It seems like I really need to use them.

edit; nvm, see OP swapped to beastmen. Good luck with that, they're awesome but don't seem all that powerful!

With a bit of patience you will not be loosing for to long. As long as you figure out what works for you and what does not. Just keep in mind that in MY personal opinion our armies strengths are: Combat, Magic, Chaff and Characters. Not in that particular order but as long as you play to those you should be ok. Since the year started I am around a 69% win rate. Even against tough lists.

Units that tend to surprise players are S4,T4 Gor, Razorgors, Razorgor Chariots and how nasty our characters can be. Our Beastlord can go toe to toe with any lord short of a Deamon Prince and our Doombull can go toe to toe with anyone. Even our Great Bray Shaman if he has Fencers Blades and Talisman of Preservation can take on some combat lords (mine has tanked a Blender Vamp for 3 Combat phases with decent/lucky rolls).

Also Bestigor 30+ strong with Totem of Rust can eat ANY Monsterous Cavalry in a turn or two when they TAKE a charge.

Eitherway good luck and feel free to hit me up for any questions you might have be it here or at the Herdstone under same username.

Question about HQ choices. How viable is it to play with 2-3 LVL 2 shamans as opposed to 1 LVL4 and 1-2 LVL 2?
How important is the Great Bray? Them seem good but the Doombull or Beastlord seem to soak up so many points and I feel like I HAVE to have a wargor BSB.
The first list I build used two large (35-40) Gor units, 35 Bestigors, 6 Minotaurs, 2 Razorgors at 2500 points of course.
The doombull seems so damn good at destroying anything it touches and I knew I'd need the wargor for the BSB. That left with 2 barebones LVL2 Bray Shaman.
Maybe I just need to play it... What a novel idea lol. I never do this with my Eldar lists I know 40k inside and out but WFB has me stumped!!

A Lv4 is only really a necessity if you want to go for a highly offensive magic phase.

If you're looking into simply mitigating your opponent's magic phase, then a bunch of Lv1/2's will be enough to carry the important items like a Dispel Scroll/Staff of Sorcery (should be in the rulebook FAQ)/Channeling Staff/etc...
Mind you with Lore of Beasts, even a couple Lv2's should still be able to force through a casting of Wildform where needed thanks to the lore attribute reducing the casting value by 1.

As far as beast go, the most killy model you can get is a Doombull with heavy armor, gnarled hide, shield, ramhorn helm, and dawnstone plus 45pts in ward save or weapon. He's strength 7 high attack rerolling 1+armor save and auto hit every successful save plus bloodgreed. Pure kill sauce. I've personally taken down a bloodthirster and 20+squad of bloodletters by himself.

Yeah I use a 353 build for my Doombulls. ASF sword, Ramgorn helm, Heavy armor, shield, Talisman of Preservation and Gnarled hide.
Gives him a 1+ armor save and chances to hit after each save. Also the 4+ invul save I have found is alot better then rerolling armor saves.
I have about 8 games under my belt now. Usually the Doombull is my shining star. I've had a couple games where magic or cannons have whacked him before he got to do anything. Overall though I find his ability to murder anything he touches is too awesome.

Yeah, you'll have to take care of him till he gets to combat. I suggest 2 Bray Shaman to get the dispell and save him and a squad of 5-6 harpies to basically use as air to ground missles, fly over and wreak havoc on the war machines. They should kill em off easy, but even if they dont you should be able to hold off the cannon fire till the majority of the army can get in and tear stuff up
