You mean that FAQ where they simply reiterated the Horus Heresy books were designed to be internally balanced to be played against itself, but said it's fine to run against 41st millenia armies, but keep in mind you will run into weird incongruent rules issues when it comes to points?

Yeah, thanks for linking that FAQ that proves exactly what I was saying.

You do understand that things being pointed differently means they're balanced differently, right?
Meaning 30k is balanced against 30k and by definition not 40k.

What's your point?

I'm still waiting for you to tell me where it's not legal to play a Space Marines Crusade legion against a proper 40k army. It certainly doesn't say so in that FAQ. It just points out the balancing will be out of whack, and it's built to be used internally from a design standpoint so don't expect it to be a balanced game experience.

Considering Orks are running off a book written 6 years ago, two editions ago, and that's still a legal thing to run despite the points being designed for a game other than what we're currently playing, I really don't see the problem.

I never said it was illegal?
Perhaps you should tread into my posts and instead just read what I'm saying.
