HATE IT.

I have had a few models from some alternative model makers other than GW and there mould lines seem a lot smaller if at all visible.

Some GW line are a bugger to remove, but as mentioned you use the moulds thousands of times you are going to get some error creep into the mould.

When you can't see the drunk guy at a party, you should look for the nearest mirror.

I wouldn't say I love it. I do it more as a matter of minor OCD. I just can't stand seeing them on my models. I also drill all my barrels.

The easiest way for me is to lightly use a flat needle file to file down all the mold lines. As long as you're gentle, there won't be any indication of filing after the primer hits.

If you're overly bored with the chore, put on a TV show you really don't care much about. That way when boredom of filing leads to distraction, you'll quickly become bored with the show and go back to filing.

I hate it so much I named my blog ihatemoldlines.blogspot.com. I am about half way through removing mold lines from 50 gaunts.

I don't mind, sometimes. Other times, it's pretty rage inducing. I have some of the polymer minis Reaper put out after their successful kickstarter campaign last summer and boy, are removing mould lines from those a pain in the butt. It's hard to even see they're there with how solid white the polymer is and removing lines on something that rubbery without damaging the overall model is quite the task.

If I'm honest I generally don't bother.

I can hear the cries of heresy already but I tend to spend most of my build time shaving off the sprue joints than worrying about mold lines.

I must say though since the 3rd edition stuff they are much less prominent on the new kits. I was slightly blown away by the quality the first kit I opened when I bought my new army.

I suffer from chronic head pain which leaves me unable to do many things - even as simple as painting, a lot of the time. Removing mould lines is one aspect of the hobby I can usually do since it's so mindless. I can half watch and listen to informative things like docos, or entertaining things like podcasts, rewatch old TV series like House... all sorts, all whilst still progressing in my beloved hobby. So yeah, I utterly hate mould lines since it's so tedious, but I'm thankful I can still do something whilst I'm screwed over by pain.

I have more cleaned kits ready for use than I have usable time for painting them I think hahaha.
