Your choice of harbingers.

Why so many ResOrbs?
You don't think that's a bit much? (usually one or two would suffice, wouldn't it?)
Regardless, every good RCDI needs a Chrono-tek, but apart from that, any of the other Harbingers would be fine (maybe a Veil-tek for mobility if you don't go for the Zahndrekh & Obyron combo)

Precision shots and barrages man.

God damn Nightspear and his merry band of sniper elves/guard blobs with precision shot/fething vindicaires/barrage sniping.

But yes, the Res Orbs are probably the most readily shaved off part.

I feel that Kutlakh is probably the better choice of HQ unless your enemy is really heavy on really high toughness units or vehicles. An AP2 Instant death sword that hits at S5 I2 is pretty nice. Why, it's like beefier Huskblade Archon.

Though his number of attacks and weapon skill is perhaps a bit lackluster compared to other beatstick HQs, and I2 of course; is a bit of a downer (though hopefully the MSS should alleviate that a bit).

On the other hand, he does have EW if memory serves.

Doesnt the bearer of the resorb get back up on a 3+ instead of the usuall roll?

not mentioned but an IG blob of 50 can be quite the scary deathstar when fitted out

50 man blob: power axes, krack grenades, priest, inq (with suitable nades, psyker), commisssar and or attached IC ( sometimes use St.Celestine if allied to Sisters).

This squad can be downright scary.

Furious Raptor

CS Lord on a bike with MoN with the daemonheart and sigil. 2+4++ T6 and IWND, can add rage and furious charge. 6 Nurgle bikes for T6 with armor and melta guns, plus a champ for pfist and challenges, or full spawn pack with MoN for D6 attacks and lotsa wounds. Add a ML 3 sorc and you have a 50/50 chance of getting invisibility. Can swap to get divination if you want. Or biomancy and iron arm. Force Weapon, combi weapons, blight grenades, melts bombs, plasma guns, you can add 3 of anything on the list to taste.

It's alright, and not super pricey at just over 450 points. Comes with lv.3 psyker and 15 wounds at T6 with the spawn. With the powers you can pull a 4++ in any cover at all, and a 2++ in ruins. Offensively it can one hit MC's and vehicles, reap through hordes with 5d6+10ish attacks, and handle a ridiculous amount of incoming firepower. Those attacks help get through 2++ saves also, so not useless for a round or two against fancy save units.

There's a Space Marine biker star as well that was only casually mentioned earlier.

White Scars main with Clan Raukaan allies

WS:
Chapter Master on bike with Artificer Armor, Shield Eternal, Thunder Hammer
Command Squad with Grav Guns, Storm Shields, Lightning Claws (my personal flair), and Apothecary
Librarian on a bike, ML 2

Clan Raukaan:
Chapter Master on Bike with Artificer Armor, Gorgon's Chain, Thunderhammer

Put the Clan Raukaan Chapter Master in front to tank wounds with his "better" Shield Eternal, but if you take too many wounds you can Look Out Sir! to your other Chapter Master. Then at the end of your next turn you have the possibly of healing the Clan Raukaan Chapter Master from It Will Not Die (Clan Raukaan uses the Iron Hands Chapter Tactics). It's a great way to deliver your other Chapter Master and troop hunting Command Squad.

No, it gives everyone in the entire unit he's attached to (the ones with RP and EL, anyway) a better chance to get back up (4+ instead of the usual 5+... if it was 3+, that would be broken beyond frak).

In ye olden days, back when RP was WBB, the default get back up roll was a 4+, and resorbs made that a 3+. But WBB was also negated by instant death and Ever living wasn't a thing.

And back then, Warscythes ignored invuls rather than had armorbane (I don't think they had the 2+ S bonus either), and Necrons could have initiative values better than 2.

Though overall, oldcrons had few options and newcrons are much more competetive as a whole.

I'll never get over Pariahs though.
