I need some help!!!

I painted my tank with some colors, but the main body is mostly black, so my question is:
How the hell could I make it look like a little bit more worn out, or what shall I do with it? I wish to leave it black, or some really dark gray, but that way it has not to many features... how do you guys make a tanks huge plates somewhat interesting? I mean other than painting it full with patterns...

This little problem aside I'm almost ready with it.
Will post some pics about it before Xmas. And I will start the new year painting some of the other armies troops, so my little gallery has a nice diverse view. Now its only IG vs my Wifes Necrons. I will get for Xmas some Sororitas and a Dreadnought.
