This an interesting thread where the SoB are on both sides of the spectrum.

The absolutely most enjoyable codex I have played (and continue to play) is the Tyrants Legion, very rarely win games, but the theme of the list is particularly awesome.

Using Militia as Meat Shields for Astartes
Having Marines execute the meat shields for failing morale like commissars
Having big artillery gun pound the enemy
Apothecaries stealing other Space Marines gene seed!
Mercenaries flying in and then going screw this its not worth the money.

So much enjoyment.

Equally, but probably not quite valid, are the 30K lists. THE.BEST.LISTS, hands down.

Orks are my favorite, even if experiences can sometimes be frustrating.

I've always wanted to try Daemons. They seem interesting, and I've only seen lame deathstars of them, but i feel there is probably more in there that isn't imminently bullgak. SoB seem interesting, too. If only to be highly unique!
Also Mechanicus 30K. Questionably balanced for a 40K environment though.
