Amusingly, I only discovered the Game of Thrones 'Stormcrows' last night in a random skype chat about naming a mercenary company. Not read any of the books, let alone watched the show.

how about because you use plasma and melta and stuff like that why don't you call them the Falling Stars.
Or maybe the Doc Brown's and their catch phrase would be "Where we're going, we don't need roads."
