Mine are on order with Wayland (and have been for a long time).
I don't generally have a problem with Wayland although I will cancel an order with them if I find stuff in stock that will be delivered faster for not-much-more, or is cheaper. I don't like that they don't inform customers when dates change on restocking (despite them claiming they do). I certainly got no email when my A-wing went from March 21, to April 30th.
I think with a better back-end system for tracking and automating dealing with orders awaiting stock, they'd be better off.

I agree. My b wings and interceptors did the same. I think it's a genuine case of being such a big company, they lose the ability to keep up the personal flavour, but it shouldn't be difficult to set up automated emails with their stock system. An informed customer is usually a happy one.

I have to jump in and mention i get all my x-wing stuff either from my flgs(full price, but they have gaming tables and tournaments) or through miniaturemarket.com at 33% off. They just moved to within 2 miles of my house, I'm going to be more than destitute now . But I just preordered the rebel aces, all of wave 4, tantive and the transport. Also picked up a battlemat from them the other day and a whole mess of clearance mantic orcs for less than a $1 each. They are a bunch of great guys there and always has stuff instock, not sure of international shipping (though they state free shipping over $99.00). When the imperial aces came in they had 152+ copies for sale After all their preorders.

Shipping from the US has gotten crazy.
I got together to order some B Wings from MM with some friends when they had them in special (the $ price translates to £ on RRP, or near to it, so a $7 B Wing was very cheap)
Even at that price, the shipping nearly killed it, doubling the price per unit of the order, so what was ~£4 per ship was nearly £8 per ship landed in the UK (£10 a ship is gettable if you shop around) with the potential risk of Customs intercepting it and whacking 20% VAT and a handling charge on it, which would have made the whole thing a wash.
As it happened, they didn't, so the exercise was worth it, but the effort involved on my part organising half a dozen guys, getting payment etc for the ultimate saving means I shan't bother again, unless there's something with an extraordinary offer on it.
In fact, for all the reasons listed, I just don't bother with US purchases now, I look to Europe, Oz or the Far East if I can't get it in the Uk, because the shipping is cheaper and the taxes aren't an issue.

We find comfort among those who agree with us - growth among those who don't. - Frank Howard Clark
The wise man doubts often, and changes his mind; the fool is obstinate, and doubts not; he knows all things but his own ignorance.
The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox
