6e doesn't seem too bad... I mean, every game has flaws, right?

Would you say 6th has fewer flaws than 5th?
|
Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did. |

Our group love the 6th ruleset. Its problems, in our opinion, began when allies were brought back.
Now we have formations, superheavies and all sorts of silliness.
Our group leaves the silly out and we have a great time because of it.

If you're playing non-competitive than it's become better. I really like some changes with deaths of the closest, focused fire and stuff. Even though it's totally ruined my greentide. But it's more interesting. However there's a number of stupid rules like challenges and MC/fmc getting cover for a basi in the woods.
The ruleset is not so bad on it's own. For example, when you're playing a ballanced non-cheezy army vs the ballanced non-cheezy army you'll have even more fun than in 5 ed cause the game has become more dynamic! However, If you're playing vs competitive opponents, than expect every game to be like vs draigo-pallies with all different gear in 5 ed. I blame poor codex-writing and lack of gametesting before release. What the hell were they thinking about when released tau, eldar and daemons?.. 2++ rerollable cheeze, FMC spam, Triptide spam, Wave serpent spam, Ethereals that cost 50 pts and give more buffs than CCS and Comissar lord combined. That is what's ruining the game.
Too much cheeze so it forces you to either play pre-made matches and discuss stuff like: "Ain't you taking X stuff?" or to become a cheezemonger yourself.

Ork Admiral Kroozin Da Kosmos on Da Hulk

I'd argue that we have a huge pile of flaws that's somehow still playable as a game.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |
