Tyranids or Imperial Guard. Both bring a variety of targets that is so much more fun to dakka to death rather than the same-old same-old MEQ armies having to need them to roll 1s or 2s to fail which often leads them to blaming the dice for their loss than their generalship. Plus visually taking down a Leman Russ or a Carnifex is so much more cinematically pleasing than blowing up a Rhino or a chunky Land Raider.

Favourite is probably IG that doesn't go flying rodent gak on the pie plates. I'd likely say Orks too if anyone but me played them around here - have yet to play Orks vs Orks!

Generally any fluff fitting, balanced force gets my seal of approval. However I agree with Tigramans that I don't enjoy facing Tau. Suitless, Riptideless Tau with heavy auxilia that actually moves around the battlefield perhaps... but your run of the mill current meta Tau is just awful stuff.

Got to be Tyranids for me. The game hinges around turns 2-3 right before they make their charges. During that time the tyrandis either take too many casualties and have lost or roll over you and streight to victory.

I perversely love fighting Dark Eldar with my Tyranids, though mostly because my friend runs a Wych cult. Wyches in Raiders, Bloodbrides in a Venom, deep striking Scourges, Hellions zipping around on their surfboards.

The matchup against my Tyranids, which are a mix of horde and monstrous creatures, is very fun. Lots of potential for both armies to get bloody, and victory tends to be decided in the last turns rather than the first.

Absolutely cannot wait to have a 3000pt game against his Eldar and Dark Eldar whilst unleashing my Heirophant.

Orks because against my Airborne IG its always a fun epic Grudge Match! Had an amazing game where my Elysians (x10 Flyers @ 2000pts.) took on a swarm of Dakka Jets (thanks to dual FOC) and it was awesome! Some of his jets rammed into mine blowing up entire squads of Guardsmen while Veterans descending from their Valkyries and Vendettas spewing death with Lasgun and Flamer while Avenger Strike Fighters cut bloody trenches through swarms of Ork Boyz. Truly epic!

Necrons. What? They're so good! Yes, but with Necrons you know what you're getting. There's no Hit and Run, or Ignores cover, they're just fundamentally good. It makes for a challenging game without that helpless feeling of "I can't survive that".
