I'm guessing at least you and me.

A lot of people, considering slavery is banned in every country.

Something tells me he wasn't being serious; don't ask what.

For me Easter Sunday was just another Sunday.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

I just remembered another one, When all the eggs are found I ask "Who found th 20$?" to all of them.

Please tell me this incited a bloodbath as everyone attacked each other for the $20!

Also, if you got it on camera of family members ripping each others' limbs off for the money, I request, nay, demand, you put it on youtube and link it to Dakka. Wait, let me make popcorn first! You can blur out faces and stuff, I just want to see an Easter related bloodbath.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Mine used to be: Ignore it and it goes away.

I'm not remotely religious. The weekend of rite and ritual means nothing to me. I'm not a big eater of chocolate.

My sisters married and got religion (orthodox in their case).
I married into a catholic family.

So now, for me, Easter means an interminable 5 day break with the inlaws (and that's almost too long for the wife, too. ).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Why do so many families have ham on Easter? I mean, I also made one, but it wasn't until this thread that I realized that was the thing.

Also, what are "funeral potatoes"?

It's funny though...Jews don't eat ham and Jesus was jewish. So I hve no idea why it's a thing. Lamb would make more sense to me.
And I think that's a Utah thing. I'll find a recipe and show you to see if you recognize it and just name it differently.

Never heard of those, making them this week. Thanks!

Typically I get pulled in to help out with the services, but after two Sundays in a row of being there all day helping with various things I took a break.

Shot IDPA tournament, then had had Easter barbeque with the Wife. Mmm good.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Mmmm...what kinds of meats are involved in "Easter BBQ"? It sounds exquisite.

Rabbit, lamb and pork.

Kind of a waste to hang the meat and then not use it.
