You are not ripping anyone off. Far from it, actually. Are you forcing someone to buy your book? No? It's perfectly fair then.

This will probably be the first time I keep a rulebook from a previous edition for a long time. Now a big reason is I bought the LE edition....agh, so foolish now...but then again I hear that 7th is going to be $100? So it's only about $25 or so cheaper than the 6th's LE! Talk about a bargain!

But, depending on how the rules shake out for 7th, I might not be moving onto that edition any time soon. This is more of a decision about the state of the game rather than a great love of 6th (it wasn't bad but could have used some tweaks). I mean, the real worth of the rulebook comes from is the rules. After all, it's not like the lore changes much from book-to-book; I can buy the next edition and lo-and-behold, the stories are all the same! So if I don't like the rules then I should just stick with the previous edition.

So I would recommend holding onto the book for now if you're just interested in rules, whose to say what will happen with 7th.

So yeah, im sure we all heard the rumours regarding the 7th edition and how its supposed to come out in a few months.
Anyway, the conundrum i have is should i keep the rulebook or try to sell it. If there will only be a few changes to the rules then i might aswell keep the old one.
Also the book is in a mint condition, i didnt use it that much as i am in an unfortunate situation where i have no one to play 40k with, i played less than 10 games since this edition has come out.

Any guidance Battle Brothers?

I'd sell it.

I'm going to cut mine up and convert it with some plasticard and glue into a terrain fortification called "The Fortress of Tears". The front gates will be a picture of Matt Ward grinning.

Saying "Yeah I fooled him ha ha... but I didn´t force him to give his money, did I? It´s perfectly fair then" sounds cool. Be sure to say that sort of things in any mediation on your legal disputes. Makes things quicker.

When you buy or sell something on the Internet there is always a trust problem. To avoid it, you must be crystal clear about what are you exactly selling. If you sell me something that is becoming useless in a few days without telling me, that´s not fair. It is ripping off. If you have problems with this, visualize yourself on the other side: you wouldn´t like it. If it is not fair for both parts, if the other one feels cheated, it is ripping off.

If you ever do this, and the other part knows his rights, there will be a formal complaint against you and a mediation. And in most cases you will be forced to give back the money.

Because if people were allowed to get away with this kind of things, other people would follow, selling crap and ripping off people. If 5% of the sellers behave that way, eBay will disappear. Nobody will buy anything on the Internet for fear of finding someone like you.
