How about the Tyranids? Ostensibly one of the two most psychically-potent factions in the game, the army of bioforms with biomorphs and bio-Titans and bio-bombs and hell, even Bio-Artefacts (wut), doesn't get access to biomancy? Seriously?

The way I understand it they're not actually psykers, they're just represented that way in-game

They use the powers of the hive mind, which is somewhere in the warp, which casts a shadow in the warp, negating psychic powers, iirc,

Except for the fact it explicitly causes issues with the Warp Itself, to the point of destablizing Daemons because it removes their source, if they actually used the warp itself when they began to actively negate the Daemons psyker abilities at Shadowbrink it'd be odd because they were actively denying the warp to Daemons in large area's.

So I just happened to notice a blurp that for some reason we Space Wolves have lost all our unique Fenris drawn pskyer powers that only our mighty Rune Priests can call upon, and had them replaced with all the Codex Astarte abiding powers all the other pskyers of the Imperium can use... I ask you my brothers and sisters...

WHAT BY THE SHAGGY ORANGE MANE OF RUSS AND THE ETERNAL WILL OF THE ALLFATHER IS THIS HERESY TO ALL THE SPACE WOLVES ARE!?!

I wholly blame Matt Ward for this affront to all that is Fenrisan, how dare you take away that which makes us the most diverse and unique chapter of Space Marines in all of the Imperium of Man.

I fully deny these new mandates, the Space Wolves have spit on the Administratum of the Imperium before and growled and fought in stark defiance when they tried to take our way of life away from us so many times and I do so now to Games Workshop, and I ask all my brother and sister Space Wolves to do the same! Nay I ask all Warhammer 40k players to rise up in defiance of these new edicts and fully ignore them and play with our mighty Fenris blessed psykic powers as we always have and always will!

Your try the patience and loyalty of your fan base Games Workshop, the later of which already falters, try our waning devotion to your products anymore, it you may not have one anymore, you have been warned...

Meh, Blood Angels and Orks lost theirs. But you Space Marine gits got these new powers to use, all the Orks got is Daemonology, which really isn't that great (even if I did summon nearly 900 points of Daemons in a 1500 point game).

Try Biomancy with your guys, see how that works out. Especially Endurance. I played against a Space Wolf player who used to never take psykers, now he takes two (including an allied AM Primaris) so he can get Biomancy and use it on multiple squads (while still having a Wolf Lord). It's kind of disgusting. Works well for Space Wolves.

I doubt this very much. Dark Angels, Codex: Space Marines and their supplements didn't get unique trees and I see nothing in the fluff that implies either Space Wolves or Blood Angels are so amazingly special as to have utterly unique psychic abilities.

I don't think Dark Angels had unique powers, did they? As for C:SM, all of their powers were incorporated into the BRB anyway. I'd be surprised if Wolves didn't get their own tree, BA too probably.

IG lost theirs and DA probably did since they had psykers at the time.

Yup, DA prior to their 6th ed codex had unique powers. No one ever really used them because they weren't that good, but they were there.

I'd actually be surprised if either BA or SW got their own tree. I think most of their powers can be safely represented by letting them roll on book powers, like most armies now.

You're half-right. They're psykers, but they don't draw from "the" Warp (it's more like they have their own Warp). The problem is that they'e not represented that way in-game because, as I said previously, rulebook powers are just abstractions of reality-warping psychic powers. Tyranids are supposed to have mastery over such power, so why do they only have access to a narrow range of crappy powers?

Wait, they lost their powers? My wall of gleaming living metal won't immediately kak its pants at the sight of a rune priest?

Yep, totally cool with this.
