Obviously Apocalypse 40K, where the rules for those things exist. I apologize if the thrust of my post didn't make that obvious enough.

So you missed that those models are LoW in normal 40k now? Because that's what many people were discussing.

Well, the first sentence of the thread is " was at DexCon 17 in Morristown NJ this weekend and there were some pretty cool Apocalypse games being run." I never changed what I was talking about.

Actually, the reavers could have a tougher time than you think.

The heirophants can get cover saves from having a toe inside a ruin - that's a 4+ cover save, which you get against all but a 6 on a D-weapon shot. Most people won't take the reaver with an extra turbolaser on top because A) the missile launcher looks super cool and B) they don't sell a turbolaser piece fitted for the reaver. People have to convert it, and I have only seen a few (usually armorcast) reavers where someone has gone through the trouble to do so.

Downside is that due to GW's screwups, trying to move the heirophants through the ruin means it will move a maximum of 6" a turn, since move through cover just makes you roll 3 dice for terrain, and doesn't interact with the superheavy's 12" movement rule.

Your heirophants have 10 S10 shooting attacks. You can move toward one reaver while shooting the other. It's much more difficult for them to get cover than you. That make S10 shots will bring it down eventually. Once the shields are down, you're looking at about 3 HP from each bio-titan, each turn. That's a dead reaver in 3 turns on average luck, and 2 if you're lucky. While moving toward the other.

And once one of them is in cc, that's good game. They'll have 2 WS1 attacks that are S10 and you get your feel no pain. You'll have like 8 S10 attacks that are AP1, and thus quite easily bring it down.

In addition, the heirophant is quite, quite narrow for its size. While shooting templates at a titan means it rarely misses (needing an 8 or 9" scatter in a couple particular directions to actually miss), it's quite easy to miss a heirophant if you scatter to either side of it.

Is the advantage to the reavers? I would say so. But it's far from a one-sided fight.

Ya man I am sorry but the Hierophant and Harridan are pretty damn amazing against all other LOW's . I have used both of my LOW's against Chaos and Necrons and have not suffered a wound yet. These things are beast and bring down anything I point them at.

The new Dima will also bring some pain cant wait for the new Tyranids to finally arrive.

If you're really playing guys that can't hurt a toughness 8 with power armor you should start playing them for money.
