I watched Scream recently and absolutely loved it (I'd never actually seen it as a kid but a friend used to tell me all about it).
I'm still terrified of The Wizard of Oz though, my sister had a school play of it and I had to leave after about 5 minutes.
Watch the Return to Oz.
you'll be even more scared of it.
Trust me its terrifying but kind of awesome.

I remember being in a video store when I was 2 or 3. I backed into a shelf, turned around, and was directly facing the Child's Play movie case. Gave me nightmares every once in a while for the next 9 years.
And then I heard Chucky's voice...
