Here, is something funny,The Bf forums ripped us off and started to do this with BF plastic..i guess it is true that Bf is imitadiating PSc or at least copying us.
i do hate to say this,No one added a BF plastic list.but all good.I prefer psc plastic anyways.

?

Ripped off? I wasn't aware that this was a PSC-specific thread...

And was the thread on the FoW forums started by a random poster, or by a company rep?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I don't care who makes my miniatures, so long as someone makes them.

If this was a PSC only thread (which was not my intention) I'd include an SU 85/M/100/122 on the list of things to make. I also think it's odd that few of the metal manufacturers make parts that are compatible with the newer plastic kits that are available. Peter Pig's Katyusha crew being a notable exception. Looking through the remnants of the Peter Pig stock at my local FLGS all the stuff that has not sold is stuff that PSC and Zvesda make kits for (Shermans, T-34s, Hanomags and such). Pig could easily modify his Calliope Sherman kit to just be packs of Calliope rockets that fit to plastic Sherman kits, I'm sure he'd sell more of them then.

It evolved into a wishlist thread.

More power to the players.

I suspect that Battlefront - and every other plastics manufacturer - already has its new plastic kits planned out for at least the next dozen months, if not more. But companies also want to know what players might be interested in buying. I suspect that every company that makes miniatures of the correct type that knows about this thread is at least glancing at it and making notes about what's being said.

Nah, you named four different companies up in your first post. I think it was pretty clear that it was a non-company specific thread.

Battlefront most definitely does plan in advance. They presented a list of 2014 plastic releases at Flamescon last October, two of which (Big Cats and Tank Destroyers boxes) have yet to be released. Only the Pershing kit was unexpected. Personally I'm thinking the Big Cats might get released in August conclude the Bridge at Remagen releases.

Battlefront also follows GW's example, so to speak by scheduling their releases to coincide with the book that contains that platoon. With Operation Barbarossa coming up after Great War this may change however in regards to the plastic kits as I remember mention of a plastic Tiger kit and the Tiger would not have been available for Barbarossa IIRC.

They also just released a US Rifle Company boxed set.

While its true that wasn't on the schedule, it wasn't as big a surprise as the Pershings. The plastic US Rifle Company was simply a repackage of the plastic Armored Rifle platoon infantry sprues without the half-tracks and an additional command sprue. Battlefront had already did the same with the plastic German Panzergrenadier Platoon and the plastic German Grenadier Company.

True enough.

Looks like now they just need to throw the Brits a few bones. And I would imagine that a plastic Strelk release can't be too far behind, either.

Agreed on the Brits wholeheartedly since I play Grenadier Guards. Unfortunately I think we'll have to wait until next year
