I'm a Grey Knight player who hasn't used may psychic powers other than Cleansing Flame. My favorite part of having so many psykers is that I can deny almost anything. For all the stuff other armies can field that a pure Grey Knight Army can't counter, at least we can shut down Daemon factories.

(I don't know what we'll be able to do after the new codex messes with everything)

Maybe it won't.

After all, if there's any army that's more or less designed to shut down a demon factory...

Certainly having a bit of versatility is nice, but playing with more phases isn't strictly better, especially given that you have to drain points away from playing other phases better to improve your psychic phase.

Like in any edition of this game we have to weigh to value of the movement phase against the psychic phase against the shooting phase against the assault phase and decide where we want to put our points.

I still think shooting is more important than psychic but not by much.

I don't see why more people don't just use Primaris powers. Just ran a game using Psychic Shriek for the first time and if I did it right, that thing is incredible. A Spiritseer killed off a final two Sternguard Veterans and that's considered a bad roll. Just imagine a good roll against something with LD 7... Psykers, even weak ones, can shift a battle immensely. Some of them can be considered entire squad killers alone.

I still need to mess with my list, but I'm getting more interested in biomancy Primaris psykers and telekinesis wyrdvanes. Smite is a great combo with plasma vets and wyrdvanes with assail are good at blunting enemy assaults. I also took out a land raider crusader by casting objuration mechanicum (all weapons gets hot) on it with my wyrdvanes. I want to try skirmishing two or three units of them on my flanks.
