I think I'd remove Jump from the Wraithknight, and possibly take away a single wound, but leave it at T8. After all, it's a giant colossus made of Wraithbone, it's not meant to be taken down by small arms fire.

So... basically just make it a slightly stronger Wraithlord?

I mean, frankly, the Wraithknight already is basically just a stronger Wraithlord, which is lame as feth, but let's not make it worse!

Changes I would like to see as an Eldar player.

Tone down the Serpent Shield. Either give it a shorter range, and knock the range down to at best 24", or get rid of its shooting entirely and knock the price of Serpents down a bit.

Make Falcons available as Dedicated Transports in addition to Serpents. I don't think Falcons are all that powerful (compared to Serpents anyway), but it would be nice for small squads to take a different transport.

Add an assault transport. Almost every Eldar player I know no longer uses Banshees or Scorpions. Why? Because in order to get to the enemy they need a transport, and then have to sit around for a turn twiddling hteir thumbs while they wait to assault. Alternatively add a vehicle upgrade for Serpents/Falcons which gives them the Assault vehicle special rule. I don't know, call it "Assault Ramps" or something.

Howling Banshees - give them AP2 in melee against non-vehicles or even Rending. Banshees were the go to unit for TEQ, and now they cannot even do that. Against TEQ, 10 Guardians have a better chance of removing a single Wound (actually they will cause about 3 Wounds on average with shooting, while the banshees will be lucky to cause 1).

Wraithknight - bump the cost up a bit. The closest thing (point wise) that Tyranids have (before upgrades) is a Trygon Prime. For a mere 10 points, a Wraithknight gets +4 Stength, +2 Toughness, and -1 Attack (Trygon has a +1 WS but -1 BS so those effective cancel each other out). Not only that, but while the Wraithknight is generating (on average) 2/9 the hits, each hit is much more devastating and at long range. I like the Wraithknight, but IMO it should be a LoW.

Most of the other changes are Supplement things at best. For example, I would really like an updated release of "Craftworld Eldar" as I want to be able to field Black Guardians in a way that makes sense.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
Orks always ride in single file to hide their strength and numbers.

At s3, Banshees wouldn't be broken if they had on-initiative AP2. Or perhaps it'd be more fitting to give them Bladestorm?

As for nerfing the Serpents shooting too hard, I think that is kinda the point. If you want a gunboat, the Falcon isn't much worse dakka than a Pred, with about equal survivability, and much better mobility. If you want mobile artillery, the Fire Prism or Night Spinner fill those roles, depending on what you need. The Serpent shouldn't be the heavy dakka it is now. So even if it would require a (small) points cut, I'd much rather have it's shooting heavily nerfed.

(As for Black Guardians, if normal guardians were ws;/bs 3 without battle focus for, say, 8ppm, perhaps Black Guardians would be what guardians are now?)

the assault issue that banshees and striking scorpions have is, as previously mentionned, an issue with 6th and 7th edition, which poops on assault units, if you make an assault ramp option for the wave serpent then why wouldn't all armies have it too? they also have close combat units that havent seen the tabletop in a while.
Maybe a new open topped AV11 dedicated transport or a heavy support option with AV 12 would be ok for eldars, but at the same time this is an issue most armies have to deal with so should be adressed across the board to be fair: Fix assault.

Heres an easy one: Units can assault from out of deepstrike, flanking and disembarking, but cannot fight in that same turns combat phase, they can only fight in the next combat in the opponents turn and then on.

This would allow your units that assault to avoid getting shot down before reaching combat and even tie a unit down but still give the opponent getting assaulted the option to counter charge and react properly to units "popping out of nowhere".

I also wouldnt mind seeing banshees with Sred and striking scorpins with rending. Maybe for a little 1-2 point increase

what you are proposing is a massive nerf, I dont even play eldars and I find that much too harsh. I find a lot of people dont realise the consequence of light changes in the power they represent, even a light nerf like reducing the range of the shield a bit (not down to 12", thats filling down its teeths till its only nubs, and making it one use only on top of that, plus not TL and increasing the points!!! really!!!?? lets propose reasonable changes that will still make people happy to use it but not ridiculous) to remove the feel that its an across the board sniper (reconsidering it I think that 30" (or maybe 24") range would be perfect, this gives the WS a 24", 30" and 36" range gun) and increasing the points value by 10pts would make it a lot less likely to be spammed since if someone uses 6 of them, then thats 60pts he lost and no more does he have the ability to snipe across the board. this will make people consider using other guys or at the very least remove one unit from his list.

maybe also making the dire avengers need to start as 7 or 10 man units, to compensate for this nerf (since dire avengers themselves arent broken) they could also they get access to heavy weapon platforms like guardians.

I'm not sure I was clear, I don't propose removing the twin-linking on the SL completely, only for the shield. But yes, you are right, all that in combination would probably be too big a nerf. But I would be totally fine with reducing the shield range to 12" and making it one-use only, as an Eldar player. Keep the price and the shield twin-linking, it won't do much difference at 12" anyway. I do maintain that the shield should be primarily a defensive tool.

If going for the "one use only" towards keeping it more of a defensive tool then at that point it should get a price decrease of 5pts or so but 24" range is more then enough nerfing on the range.
I would even say that it shouldnt lose its 2+ to turn a penetrating hit into a glance if using it offensively.

this is a massive nerf. the WS deserved one

*also wraithlords arent lame as feth, theyre pretty good actually, maybe a bit too expensive but not so much as to make them bad, merely just bad in comparison to the ridiculous option eldars have access to which is an internal balance issue, in the external balance wraithlords are good.
the few changes I proposed previously should see the wraithlord being a more popular option, maybe he could get each gun option being 5pts less a piece. but this isnt necessary

compare the wraithlord to the talos and look at how happy you are
