Just picked up a NIB necron battleforce for $35!

About a year ago I got a wind rider box (10 eldar bikes, 2 vipers) and old battle force (10 guardians, 10 dire avengers, falcon, 3 bikes) for $120 when the game shop was having a moving sale. They dropped all miniatures because of poor sales and store space so they wanted to get rid of their stuff.

A couple of months ago I got:
DV Lord
Khorne Lord with Axe (Metal)
Lucius the Eternal (Metal)
Plastic Daemon Prince with wings and axe
Plastic Terminator Lord with Lightening Claws
22 Plastic Khorne Bezerkers (1 Champion with Fist)
1 DV Helbrute

20 DV Cultists
24 Chaos Space Marines (2 Champions, 3 Plasma Guns, the rest with Bolters)
10 DV Space Marines with Chaos Backpacks
2 Spawn
1 Chaos Predator with Heavy Bolters and Lascannons
and a codex for £50, sold the codex on for £15, so all in all it only cost me £35.

I was able to pick up 5 boxes of Assault Marines, 4 boxes of Tactical Marines, and a Dreadnaught. All NIB still sealed for only $100..

Forgot about my most recent, and best ever, wargaming resale shop find:
First Edition Talisman, complete with unpunched counters for $4! Would have been $8, but it was half-off day.
Also got the "Adventures" supplement -though missing 4 cards- for $3.

I just picked up over 2,000 points of Tyranids for $180... 6 MC's, over 100 40mm and 25mm based models, and a bunch of new in box stuff. Close to $1000 retail!

Nowhere near some of the deals here, but I did pick up a nice little bit box for 5 bucks (and 5 bucks shipping). Great selection of marine and chaos bits, with a dash of ork and Eldar thrown in for good measure. Led to some awesome kit bashing and basing. Been looking for a similar deal lately. I think I got a whole tac squad and a half out of it; some of my favorite models.

Best check the swap shop I guess!

FM Argos

Bits boxes are some of the best deals out there, if you're lucky. A few months back, I purchased a $25 selection of bits on Ebay, banking on the fuzzy pictures to be what I thought they were.

They were.

19 new off sprue Raveners, MC bits from at least 6 kits, hundreds of small Tyranid bits and guns, bodies, biomorphs and just a bit of everything.

I while back at my old FLGS, one regular was selling off his 6mm WWII stuff.
I payed £10 for

A £30 tool box with , 7 full armies in.
Each army had 25 to 50 vehicles , and 15 to 30 infantry bases!
And 2 rule books (including army lists.)
Total RRP £240!

Picked up a bunch of necrons the other day. some even nib. got a super deal

Scored a metal HE tiranoc chariot from 6th edition and two metal Bolt throwers (with crew) for $50 on the weekend at a local con bring & Buy stall.

Last time I checked prices on those, I got them for between 30 and 40% of the old retail price. So a good deal. Not badly painted, either and will fit in with my army.

Last year some dude dropped off his whole collection of items to me for free. An enormous collection of boxes/GW cases stuffed full of models, vintage collections, many loads of terrain, scenery, craploads of GW books, loads of hobby supplies including paint, flock, grass, tons of tools like drills, paint brushes, knives, etc.

When I opened everything up, I estimated it all to be worth around 6 or 7 grand. I sold off about half of it (paid my tuition that year lol), traded a bunch, and kept some things I wanted. I started several new armies off that donation. Yep, good times.

Inb4 liar, troll, etc. I have photos documenting it all, it was the craziest thing to ever happen to me. Made a huge thread on Warseer about it back in the day, too. Search this same username over there if you really care to read into it more. That thread covers it from beginning to end, from unboxing, to inventory, to selling/trading with users there, etc.

Picked up about 2500$ retail CAD of 40k orks, mostly unpainted... $250!!! What a steal!

Just last weekend I bought a Dreadstone Blight and Witchfate Tor for $50 USD. The Dreadstone tower is beautifully painted and the tow is still partial so I can do another ruined tower and use the merlons as a circular wall around a fountain or statue or something

My biggest score was over 700 LotR minis in a giant Trash bag for $25 at a convention in California in 2006.

Needless to say I was VERY SUSPICIOUS of the guy selling them for so little, and made him drag his wife up to witness that they were indeed his.

A lot of them were broken or bent sprues, and required a LOT of work to make whole.

But it still left me with around 500 usable miniatures.

Most of which are still sitting in a large storage box (I have only painted the Rohirrim and a few Gondorians and Uruk-Hai).
