Hello fellow battle weary generals. It has been ages since I've posted anything and, in all honesty, ages since I let my Dark Elves off their leash. But the time has come and I have enlisted in a small tournament comprised of a few close mates. My first battle is fast approaching and I am pitting my army and my very inexperienced mind against a very experienced mate and his dwarven army. We're going for a 2000pt battle and i desperately need some advice on battling Dwarves. I haven't finalized my army yet but the units at my disposal are as follows and, unfortunately, I can't really give you his details...
HELP......please.....you're my only hope....hehe

Also, keep in mind, I can substitute units I have for units I dont have....eg. Dark riders for doomfire warlocks....etc

1 x Dark Lord on Black Dragon
1 x Supreme Sorceress
1 x Sorceress
2 x Hydras
1 x Reaper x-bow
2 x Assassins
21 x Cold One Knights
33 x Repeater X-bowmen
40 x Spearmen
5 x Corsairs
5 x Dark Riders
20 x Naggarond Black Guard
5 x Executioners

Hi all. Here's my 2 cents....
Black dragon, hydras, Kharybdiss don't work well if an opponent is using heavy artillery. They die to quickly.
21 cold ones knights is to much. And their stupidity is sometimes in a way.
Best unit we have are Warlocks hands down. Thats why people like to build Warlock buses.
Assasins are not so good - i would leave them out of any Dark Elves list.
Better than assasins are our Heroes and even better are Dreadlords. A Dreadlord with Oger Blade, Talisman for 4++ ward save, and mounted on Dark Steed is so good and accompanied by
Masters on Dark Steeds is a win win condition.
Black guard are to expensive now. You'll be better of with Executeners.
5 corsairs dont do much. If they are meant as redirectors - Dark Riders do a better job. In fact I never leave home without at least 3 Dark Rider units of 5.
Also 1 Repeater bolt thrower won't do much. I found that if you have 3 in the army is just enough, but 4 are excellent.
Supreem sorceres lvl4 is a must - I prefer her with lore of death. If shes riding a dark steed she's even better.
X-bowmens - i like them But make them as 2 separate bloks consisting of 14 to 18 models or so. Shades are good also.

Those are just the models the OP has, not an actual army list.

Black Guard are generalists. Executioners are specialists. The latter unit will ruin some units and lose miserably to others. Black Guard can hold their own against a wider variety of opponents.

And...pretty sure Corsairs have a minimum unit size of 10.
