And he broke the 4th wall in the trailer he pitched to Fox. If they greenlit the movie, that trailer is a fairly good indication of what is in store for us. Meaning I'm more excited for this movie than any other comic movie. Reynolds gets it. He knows the character. With him calling the shots (he refused to do it if they attempt to screw it, that counts as "shot calling" in my book) and the Zombieland writers behind it...I think we've got one hell of an Olsen-Twin sexy sandwich on our hands (he references them in the comics back when they were still good: C&D).
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Martin Scorsese's "Goodfellas" broke the fourth wall by having each mobster individually stare directly into the camera as they called out their names and that's an amazing movie, having fourth wall moments won't destroy a film.
One question I have, and I really, REALLY hate to bring it up... but for those of us who collect, and have collected Deadpool comics and "memorabilia" before even the game came out... and especially before this movie.

About the whole 4th wall. I swear I read an article a long time ago when they were first throwing around the idea of having a Deadpool only movie that at the very start he would pop up and talk directly to the audience. Saying something along the lines of "Hey its Deadpool, remember that really terrible version of me in that Wolverine movie? Yeah...Forget about all that and pretend it never happened."
This is silly! Buttons are not how one escapes dungeons! I would smash the button and rain beatings liberally down on the wizard for playing such a trick!
