Depends what you want I guess. 6mm is halving the scale again, that might just be too small for what you want. I have recently started 15mm scale and I wouldn't want to go much smaller, maybe 1/144 but definitely not 6mm, I just wouldn't be able to paint them to a quality I'd like. 15mm on infantry is definitely my limit, I prefer 1/72 for infantry as I think any smaller than that and details just get lost or blown out of proportions but I compromised to 15mm because it's more in line with the size of game I want to play.

I'm from the future. The future of space

Lots of 10mm infantry is oversized as well and will look fine with the tanks.

It can be a bit of a niche scale, so manufacturers that cast them up are often the kind that don't advertise or get good pictures of their miniatures on their sites. They tend to go around the UK show circuit and sell their stuff in person and build a customer that way.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
