Honestly... not sure now, but when I went to school ('95 to '99), even then.

If I recall getting married is one way to no longer be considered a financial dependent.

You'd be right on that account.

Everyone at my current school has told me to go to Financial Aid, and that as a GI Bill student, I'd qualify for "quite a bit" But then, I am married, and did 10 in the military, so I'm probably not your standard 3-4 year "vet" and straight into school while living with mom and pop.
