Update:
So I originally thought the model has a large inch chick part of resin, but after drilling I soon discovered it was a indention for the landing gear well, but since there really isent anywhere else to put the primary magnet and the damage was done, I kept with the original plan.

Drilled the holes with a Tungsten cutter tip from a dremmel, I used the cutter in my power drill to bore a hole and fine tuned the shape and marred it with my exacto knife.
Then I glued and then later jb welded some brass rods in the back for the magnet to have more to hold onto, looks alittle messy but its inside the landing gear well and can only be seen if the model is upside down.

Sunk the magnet in with jb weld, then the same with the wing, I used a metal pen taped to the wing to make sure it was flat as it set.

Figured I would be done here, but with a slight touch the wing would rock, so I decided to order some more magnets and place a second one to hold it down. I also had to shave the middle section down alittle since the wing magnet was placed 1mm to high, the side keys threw me off. Wing dosent look pretty but If i want too I can go in with some puddy to smooth out the jb well.

But in the end its a sold hold, I can also flip it and the wing will stay set, however its not quite strong enough to hold the model by the wing.

Im going to start on the second wing and then I can begin final assembly. Im considering leaving off the flaps and airbrakes for priming In case I or someone else want to hazard stripes on them. Will also be magnetizing the missile payload so it can be swapped for bombs.

Small update:

Sorry for the long gap in posts, haven't had as much time as I would like to devote to projects.

But the other wing is done and magnetized, and both of the Las-Cannon wiglets are on without glue or magnets, they fit snugly.
Landing gear are glued in and support the model, I have the cockpit out atm. A friend of mine will be painting it up for me. Ill be drilling the holes and putting magnets in for the ordinance on the wings next
After that ill mostly be looking at gap filling and sanding that down before I prime the sucker. I ordered some 30k Iron Warrior doors for it and ill sand down the front landraider door icon to fit the slope under the turbo laser.
I will be doing a full paint job in the Iron warriors colors including hazard striping on the flaps and air brakes. I had some laser cut airbrush stencils done to make the striping easier and to keep them looking consistent.

Here is a internal look at the flight stand butting up vs the steel plate. I glued felt to the steel to give it some cushion, I also jb weild'd the upper and lower hull. But everything else is normal superglue.

And here is a overall shot on the flight stand, this thing is massive. even having the parts laying around it surprising just how big it is once it is together.
