Agreed... honestly, the
d6 casting limit kept me from using it. Had he had less casters i probably would have been a lot more tempted to use it.... but as i mentioned he had a level 4, a plague level 2 on the censor, and i think 2 voidlock engineers.

The High Elf magic spell is absolutely disgusting against someone that takes only 1 magic user. Doing that against elves now means you are taking a chance of handing an all but unopposed magic phase to your opponent, which is terrifying. Sure the army can dispel, but straight dice dispelling vs. 4-5 + dice (and maybe more with elves!) is not a fun prospect.
I'll try to get that going next game, although oblivion is tempting too from Dark magic. If someone has the balls to use an arcane fulcrum against an elf list that is rockin' dark magic, they have some serious sack.

Non time limited ones should stack ; time limited ones should not.
It can get a little nutty in certain builds.
