Oh, I definitely think they make cool modeling options, and I've seen a lot of custom ones I really like. It's just the internal balancing that's the problem for them ever actually showing up in-game as "proper" auxiliaries. Because of the very fact that they'd likely displace the actual Tau units.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Well feth them, the riptide looks awesome, so does the crisis suits (crude works focusing purely on the mechanical side, with no artistic attempts of the engineers, a pure weapon.)

No, the plastic crisis suits suck. Evidence:

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I know im in the minority, but I think the XV9 kits are hideous.

I will say if we got a plastic kit with 2 part arms, 2 part legs and the more contoured body as seen on the O'rymr model it would vastly improve the suits.

Sadly I doubt we will see a resculpt of the suits until Forge world throws out the dead molds for all of their XV8# arm/leg swap kits.

Not looking to ask for more powerful units or anything , but one of the rumors i really really hoped for before the last dex dropped was a vespid queen model

and of course anything that fixes the issues with crisis suits ankles

Yes, the XV89 is better looking than the XV8.
A team of 3 will also cost twice as much mainly due to production costs.

Giving the current XV8 poseable legs and arms will be all they need.

Putting R'myr as a comparison is also not fair. you can compare him to farsight or shadowsun, but not to a standard suit. named HQs have another class of models.

And the XV9 is not that good. I only have one, and tha'ts because its R'alai and he's another level of awesome than the regular XV9s.
They bizarre hard/gun ratios, wacky (and inconsistent) jetpacks and heads, and odd "orbs" on their knees. honestly I don't like them all that much.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

You think the XV8 looks hideous?
I kinda like them if there painted right. (normal ones look crap, farsight enclaves are fairly decent)

The XV81 and XV84 do need some work though
