I get the impression some of your guys like the codex creep, the fickle finger of fate nerfing units you've bought while making the newer models OP and find the financial cost of it all acceptable?

If the rules were equal for all races, we wouldn't need to keep re-releasing codices to try and 'get it right'

if the rules were equal, there wouldn't be different races. I think the current codexes and formations have actually balanced alot of things out though. The meta's in alot of flux, and that in a way is a good thing as everything can be countered by something out there. I think once at least the CSM, Eldar, and DA get updated, things will be alot better.

Despite all that though, the names at the top are usually the same people even without looking at their armies. Granted, their armies might be the difference between 3rd and 4th, but top 10 is rarely a problem for them.

If Chess isn't perfectly balanced (White has a 52%-56% win rate advantage) then how on earth is a game like 40k going to be? Seriously be realistic here, no game will ever be 100% balanced.
