The Tau ? ....... I have played many many Armies, sold off many, bought more etc etc. I can tell you while tau need synergy to work they are no where near being hardest to play, I will however agree that the Tau hate train needs to slow down because they are no where near being what they were in 6th and before everyone started getting updates and you know.......... Knights were a thing.

CC armies and short shooting armies are hard to play in an edition that favors heavy shooting.

That being said I still feel the answer to this is DE, who have a high learning curve and for a long while have defined glass cannon. Followed by things like non-flyrant spam tyranids.

Given the amount of AP2 and how much Termies cost, TEQ spam isn't that great.

very not great. Surprisingly though, that's what I always did best with. belial and his squad drops down and throws a heavy flamer and stormbolter shots into some infantry, split fire the krak cyclone in the back of something. worked much better in 6th due to the old vehicle pen chart and assault cannons. and then you do the same thing with all the other five squads. tons of infantry? that's ok! fire the frag missles! a ten man squad will have access to two cyclones for two s4 ap 6 small blasts. everyone always forgets its an option to shoot at weak infantry. if you're careful with where you deep strike, you can avoid mishaps pretty well. landing on terrain is only a dangerous check. the only way it goes really bad if if you scatter onto impassable terrain, onto the enemy, and off the board. if you're careful, you can mitigate that. Also, if you bring a second hq, you can give that guy a combi melta. I'm really hoping in the next 'dex they give sgt's the option to take combi weapons.
