On a perfect day in perfect condition, you might be able to get 100 feet on a grenade. While soldiers might be in good condition, they're not going to be in perfect condition. especially if they've been in active combat for any length of time.

School grades in germany for 17-18yo for 50m sprint: 6.5s excellent ; 6.9 good ; 7.4 average (meets the requirements) ; 8.0 (barely) acceptable ; 8.4 and worse = fail
It IS a matter of seconds.
