Well OP, heres my $.02.

You play Eldar
You 'bring it' every game

A lot of people dont play this game with the ultimate goal being to win. If you approach every game like that then yea youre going to catch some heat. I suggest only playing vs people with a similar approach.

I play for fun only. I like complimenting my opponents models, and showing mine off. I like forging a narrative as the game plays out. I like fielding sub-par units like Terminators and Helbrutes. Im aware of my approach to the game, so I typically only play vs people who see it like I do.

I will occasionally play vs WAAC players. Its just dumb.
1. The ruleset is a joke
2. Game balance is a joke
3. Its a dice game. Half of your (not you) self-professed tactical genius/failures are due to chance
4. This is a game. It takes 2 hours or so to complete. I want that time to be well spent and social.

Its just not well suited to being competitive. As long as you treat it this way, you will encounter people who think youre a douchebag.

Playing to win is a good thing. That's the point.
Playing in a way that makes the other person not enjoy the game is a bad thing.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.
