The OP is such a parade of logical fallacies and self defeating statements that I am just in awe.  (we need a slow clap Orkmoticon)
There is a meta... its a game with rules, so new changes effect the rest of the game.
Sometimes people play in organized events where the focus is more on winning than having a pleasant game... sometimes they don't
How is any of this even arguable?

Meta exists just like the sun whether you feel threatened by it or not. What it doesn't mean is power building, your local meta is the average of what you can expect basically. It's competitive if you build to beat that basically. 
You can be as uncompetitive as you like, no one can stop the meta.
