What about Tartaros for the normal guys, and Cataphractii for the Paladins? Could be quite cool.

I can't say Tartaros GK is something I've seen before, so it would certainly be unique and look pretty cool done right! I say go for it!

No, Grey Knights are cheese.

This is both a blanket statement and an incorrect one. No army can ever be 'cheese' as a codex. GK have the potential to build 'cheese' lists, so do Eldar, Tau, Demons, even Marines. That does not mean one has to build a list like that, or that anyone that plays that codex is out to exploit it.

How many GK armies have you seen that do not have at least two Dreadknights? Not many...

To the OP, do it if you want to but don't be surprised if people don't want to play against you.

That's not cheese. That's what you need to break the competitive threshold.

GKs can't build a truly cheesy list anymore, not since 5th edition.

So spamming Flyrants, Riptides and Wave Serpents isn't cheese either? Those are the only ways for their armies to break the competitive threshold...

If you think taking duplicate units makes something cheesy, or for that matter even think that arbitrarily percieved cheesiness is even remotely relevant to picking the army you want to play along with the theme of said army, then frankly your opinion probably isn't worth listening to.

I am the Hammer. I am the right hand of my Emperor. I am the tip of His spear, I am the gauntlet about His fist. I am the woes of daemonkind. I am the Hammer.

SGTPozey, You can't take part in a discussion that is heading OT, then cry about someone dragging it OT. Pull your head in, and don't spam with accusatory comments like "stop derailing the thread" when you are taking an active part in it.

I've removed your spammy comment, don't do it again

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...
