I looked at this idea a few weeks ago, it is hard to bulk buy them though. Maybe sanguinery priests kit bash might work though.

I was going to get some Sanguinary Guard, file down some of the blood drops and give them normal SM helmets and use them as Vanguard Veterans (minus the wings, of course). Of course, since Vanguard Veterans are, well, objective bad I've never really jumped on that idea.

I do believe they're the best source of muscled cuirasses.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.

Actually the most prominent mark of armor the Minotaurs have appears to be Mk. 8.

On this topic I was reading Fall of Orpheus yesterday, and it appears that 4th company IS predominantly in Mk. 8 Errant armour. So don't make 4th company

Oh snap! well I plan to give mark 8's to Veterans only, while giving them mark 3 legs, backpack, and possibly the Phobos combi bolter from the Cathapractii special weapon set.

That's not Mk8. Mk8 is effectively Mk7 with a collar and a few other small details.

The Tau-crossed stuff was the art from the Dornian Heresy, Mk 16 Damocles armor. Which actually is Tau crossed because in that alternate timeline the Ultramarines are independent of the Imperium and had crushed the Tau and stolen their technology.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

I refuse to acknowledge that MK IIX is just a bevor stuck on. Goodwin's concept art looks a lot better, and resembles an actual advancement. After all, a bevor isn't anything species. You can just bolt one on to any mark of power armor save possibly corvus.

Spoiler:

Also this gets me thinking, GW should design a MK IX of power armor resembling Gothic Armor from Germany at the end of the Middle Ages. Power armor already mimics the progress of medieval armor slightly in Europe, and a more streamlined design with something like a Sallet and fully armored joints with no soft armor.

I don't think they meant it was literally just MkVII with the bevor, just that the models essentially are just MkVII with a bevor. But that art does look much better.
