Yeah I thought about Be'lakor but I think Fatey brings more to the army overall (reliable grimnoire roll for one). I think blood slaughterers looks interesting, a pair of them w/impalers is within the price range of a landraider, deepstrike them in, impale a knight and get that first turn charge when it gets tracked in.

I need to get IA13, can I take them with a Daemons army, or would I need a CSM detachment?

Unfortuantely the impalers don't work on superheavys. Also to note, Bloodslaughterers are particularly difficult to control, so will probably need a little finesse to work right.

They can be taken by marines or daemons (and even by renegades!)

as others have noted the D-thirster'll do the trick nicely. however you can't expect it to be a garenteed thing with NO chance of not working. Knights cost nearly 400 points. you can't expect a 250 point unit to effortlessly kill it.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Well actually......if you want the D Thirster to work, you definitely can. The only question is how many resources you're going to devote to getting it to combat (the answer in my Khorne themed army - AS MUCH AS IT TAKES!)

You can shroud him

You can invis him

You can give someone the Grim to use on him

You can cursed earth him

There is a relic in IA 13 that gives any khorne daemon +1 invuln

You can forewarning him (that's the 4+ invuln right?)

You can give him greater rewards, which can give him re-roll invulns or +1 W and IWND.

I would say need I go on but I think that pretty effectively covers it. Sure you will have invested more points into him than the knight. But guess what? The knight is going to die and he is going to be just dandy. I'll take that cake any day

It's not a guaranteed chance of it working (not only is there no such thing but it's also a dice game), but if I were a betting man, I know where my money would go

Did some math and a full squad of screamers with grimoire+cursed earth will beat a imperial knight most of the time as long as they use lampreys bite.

Main:
-Chaos Daemons
-Sometimes CSM allies for Daemons
Alts:
-Dark Angels
-Inquisition, nobody expects the imperial
-Officio Assassinorum
-Legion of the Damned

My favored tactic is to feed it cheap summoned units until I'm ready to take it on. Surrounding one with plague bearers, daemonettes, plague drones, anything at all to prevent it from charging, is preferable in most cases to
I'll wear it down a little through chaff units and psychic powers, and then chard with Screamers and/or Be'lakor to finish the job.

A complete list of the ways daemons have to kill Knights:

Be'Lakor
D-Thirster
Skarbrand
Lord of Change / Daemon Prince of Tzeentch with Staff of Change (S8 attacks)
Daemon Princes of Slaanesh (Rending)
Greater Daemons, Daemon Princes or Heralds with any of the following
- Greater Etherblade (S7)
- Touch of Uncreation
- Biomancy for Iron Arm
- A number of witchfires or blessings to help\
- A few of the other Daemonic Rewards;
Plaguebearers
Plague Drones
Soul Grinders in combat or with Warp Gaze
Burning Chariots
Screamers

Being realistic: Be'lakor is by far the most reliable option there. He always gets S7 Armourbane, is Eternal Warrior, has a 2+ cover save and 4+ invulnerable.
Screamers can reliably get work done in combat if they manage to attack first, but they'll need 3 rounds to get it done if solo, which the Knight can probably kill you in. Plaguebearers, Plague Drones and Soul Grinders bring up the rear outside of the Daemon Princes.

The various ranged options we have (Burning Chariots, Skull Cannons, Soul Grinders)... barely worth trying. If they are LUCKY they'll do one hull point over the course of the entire game; with needing to roll 4+ to hit and the Knight getting a 4+ invulnerable, and the super low volume of fire power availabe this way (3 shots from one CAD?) you're not going to get much done here.

The various options with Daemon Princes and Heralds require a lot of random rolls for Gifts and Psychic Powers going your way. Perhaps if you're running 3 Nurgle Princes you'll get enough rolls for one set to come up right. Skarbrand could probably happily one-round a Knight, so long as you could catch one before you die. The D-Thirster is at severe risk of being D-Weaponed or Stomped off the table before striking due to his I1 weapon.

So essentially, you have 2 reliable options to kill a Knight (Be'Lakor and Screamers), a host of unreliable ones (Gifts and Psychic Powers), and a few so-so ones (Skarband, D-Thirster) who would be great if only they could make it to combat.
