Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

Even a bad pre-paint can be turned into something passable with simple techniques. I've seen some old Mage Knight figures that looked decent on the tabletop after they were "dipped."

Veteran Sergeant wrote: Alex C wrote:Exactly. Pre-paints are usually loathed because the sculpt quality is poor to meet a price point, not necessarily due to the fact they are painted already.
Take X-Wing. Pre-painted but they have great sculpt quality, therefore sell like hot cakes. Do that and C:ROM will win big.
X-Wing is Star Wars. Its ability to sell is not necessarily tied to the quality of the figures. Star Wars fans aren't the most discerning customer base.
Not necessarily, but I am a bigger fan of Star Trek than Star Wars and I passed on the Trek game because the models looked terribly painted. Scale wasn't as big of an issue to me. As long as the paint they use can be painted over and the minis are decent I'll consider this.

Ever since AT-43 came out I have developed a plethora of arcane alchemical procedures that strip paint from common prepaints and turn them into pure miniatures.
If your miniatures are worth having AND come unpainted, that'd be most welcome. The fumes from the last batch of X-Wing experiments have eaten most of the plaster on the celling and the pink manatees are complaining about it.

I'll keep an eye on this, but I would be looking for models at least on par with Conan the board game. More dynamic action oriented poses would be a plus, as many of the boardgame poses are rather static.

I'm cool with pre-paints.
Although I prefer to build and paint miniatures, I am not against playing with pre-paints. One of my favorite miniatures games that utilized pre-paints was the Star Wars Miniatures game from Wizards of the Coast (though I think I can attribute part of that favor to it being the Star Wars license).
I look forward to more about this game. Automatically Appended Next Post: Eldarain wrote:Regardless of how this turns out making sure the acronym of the game is CROM is a nice touch.
This was my thought too!
