My local meta is pretty relaxed & non-competitive. You rarely see super-heavies or even knights unless agreed upon prior to the game. We generally just play for the social aspect rather than to win.

1 Tyranid
Maybe 4-5 Necrons
1 Tau player (me!)

My local is LOTS of Marines of all colors and flavors.

We mostly are Fluff over competitive. By competitive, Loser buys Pizza next time.
