All demons of tzeentch reroll saving throws of 1.

Oblitorators are demons of tzeentch.

Obliterators are Daemons, but they do not have the Daemon of Tzeentch special rule.

If obliterators are in the Tzeentchkin book they will most likely have that rerolls 1 special rule

Nope, giving them the mark of tzeentch gives them the mark of tzeentch. The specific special rule which grants the re-rolls is the daemon of tzeentch rule, which obliterators cannot take.

Personally, I run them in squads of two, MoN and VotLW. Deep strike them into the back of the enemy with termicide squads with meltas.

If Obliterators are in the (hopefully) upcoming Daemonkin of Tzeentch book, they will be very strong. a 2+ rerollable means you really need to get AP2 and AP1 in. If you add a Herald of Tzeentch with Cursed Earth, you'll get a 3++ (reroll ones) if you do get hit with AP2 or AP1.

Last weekend, I added a Renegade Primaris Rogue Witch Demogogue (IA13 - ML2 Psyker) to the unit. Because they have access to Telekinesis and I got Levitate, this gave the group tremendous mobility. There was also a Black Legion Sorcerer in there with the Last Memory of the Yuranthos. Luckily he rolled Invisibility, so my enemy never even bothered trying to shoot at it.

Best advice I can give about Obiliterators: They get deadlier the closer they get, due the increasing number of weapons you can choose from.

I doubt they will be in the Tzeetchkin codex. The khornekin didnt have them or mutilators(which are a CC unit.)

Warp talons will be though. as well as possessed I guess. You could grimoire them before, but being a daemon of tzeentch takes that to a whole new level.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Granted their not obliterators, but with all the psychic badassery they will hopefully get, it might work.

He doesnt. Units with the DAEMON of Tzeentch rule get rerolls of 1 on saving throws. Units with MARK of tzeentch get a +1 to invuln saves. Daemonic instability also prevents any unit from Codex:Chaos Daemons from joining units from any other codex

Well IF they were in tzeenctch daemonkin they would most likely not have the instability rule and have fearless instead, like in the khorne daemonkin book. And Oblits would indeed be daemon of tzeentch. But I doubt we're going to see oblits in that book.

Really not a fan of Obliterators.

A unit of 3 costs more than a unit of Autocannon Havocs plus a 3x Melta Termicide squad.

I'd much rather have 4 Autocannons on T1 plus 3 Meltas that can DS where necessary, than 3 Obliterators on turn 2 (at the earliest).

Man, you are literally missing out on 1/3 of the playable units in the entire CSM codex... It's not like you'll be spending those points on anything better.

Havocs w/ autocannons seem cool, until they get hit with AP 3 and run off the table. Also, you can't scratch AV 14 and need to sacrifice a virgin to harm AV 13...

I've been too lazy to check the rule for the demon prince but I'm not sure why they would word it that way when there are no tzeentch specific demons in codex csm and the demon codex came out a good while after.

I think it actually says "demons with the mark of tzeentch" as it would also affect the demon prince.

Maybe I will check it sometime in the near future.
