Spetulhu, it doesn't even need to be an uber list. I could think imperial knights looked cool right now, sink 600+ bucks into the army, and then find out I couldn't even play it at a tournament because now they are all lords of war.

I have yet to actually run into TFG that takes leafblower style lists to a pick up game who sticks around in any community for long.

Given that "leafblower" lists don't typically do spectacularly well in 7E, that's not surprising.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

I think one of the big problems is that no one's willing to discuss it anymore. People are willing to say their opinions, sure, and maybe read someone else's thoughts long enough to try to rebut them, but it seems like nobody's listening with an open mind. Everyone has already decided which side of the issue they fall down on, and are just repeating themselves until they get frustrated and leave the conversation (or until they are the only one talking).

And all this is caused by GW and its apathy towards its players. If they cared they'd see a sharply divided player base and do something to fix it. But they wont because they cant be bothered.

Also, check out my history blog: Minimum Wage Historian, a fun place to check out history that often falls between the couch cushions.
