The end times are upon us!

You show a fine example that well done individual models are interesting to see.
Entire squads completed are a joy to behold.
An entire army brings majesty to the table.
Hail to the king baby!

Thanks Tal, lovely sentiments!

a couple suggestions:

One- Thin your paints. If you use a slightly watered down paint and apply multiple layers itll look great.

Two- Shading works wonders for your models

Yea, they are not techniques I have really tried yet, Im semi lazy when it comes to painting tbh

Got a modified Tyrannocyte done up recently.
I left off the tentacles at the bottom and made a mucaloid with them so sort of got 2 for 1

Bit of spare time so back at it again.

I decided to touch up my converted FW imperial bunker since it was showing the worse for wear in places. All my terrain is snow themed hence.....well the snow.
I have lots of kitbashed Ork scenery so wanted to do it in a similar style to keep up the theme.

Next up more jetbikes. I bought these for a tourney I was going to attend but couldnt make it in the end. Its what I keep telling myself to stop me becoming tfg. I have 9 now and thats as far as I'll go

So much paint! I agree with the above commenter that you need to wash and highlight. You can barely make out those Orks' hulking muscles or their giant gnashing teeth. It's really not that hard to figure out. Good rule of thumb is less/thinner paints and more coats.

Much too lazy for that sort of thing Im afraid

Heres a shot of the overall Project to date

From top:
Fliers / Superheavies
Orks
Space Wolves / Crons
Eldar / Crons
IG Mordians
Nids

Which leaves me with only these two beasts to finish.

The last empty shelf will likely be filled with a small Admech/Skit force.

Yep, with an ink like agrax earthshade and a medium-sized brush you can add a quick and beautiful way to detail your miniatures, it is very easy!!!

Got around to finishing nearly the last of the 40k project.

This was the Tess Vault

And 4 lasercut terrain drop pods ( http://www.lasercutcard.co.za/shop/vehicles/modern-vehicles/scendship ). these were fairly tricky to assemble first time around but with some patience and a lot of glue they turned out ok. I left off the jet rocket burners as I didnt really like them.

In a bizarre twist of internet "its a small world", the guy that runs lasercutcard.co.za is a guy called Neal Crankshaw.
Circa like 2002 he wrote a Tyranid fluff piece about the Hive Mind and how it "thinks".
When he emailed me about the drop pods, I recognised his name and recalled his story. He was like "wow i had totally forgotten that"
Anywho.....

I recently found an old unassembled Ork trukk and some boyz so that will likely be the last of the project pre 8th!

Massive 'nid army is truly staggering - impressive and inspiring stuff my friend!

The armies that I collect:

- Tyranids, 2,000 pts.
- Orks, 1,250 pts.
- Tau, 750 pts.
- Guard (PDF), 750 pts.

(Yes I have a thing for horde armies to some extent)
