Because it shouldn't be the man who fought him to a standstill in two different wars, has a power klaw welded to his arm in true Ash fashion, and has a laser for an eye that should kill Ghaz, and is kept alive because his enemies don't want his awesomeness to die, it should be a random space marine. Any bets on what that space marines armor color would be ?

The good Commissar should get the kill.and, in turn, be killed by Ghazgkull. And then the Emperor is reborn, since the death of Slaanesh relieves just enough pressure on him that he can rebuild his body. The resulting fights that happen tear the galaxy asunder.

The Emperor shelters his chosen, however, and Chaos never dies thus is born the Age of the Emperor.

I voted Yarrick.

Yarrick has proven on multiple occasions that he doesn't have what it takes. He's incredibly resiliant and defiant, but that's all he does - he weathers the storm. He didn't fight Ghazghkull to a standstill in their first meeting, he just held out long enough for the Space Marines to save them. When he went on the offensive on Golgotha he was resolutely defeated, and only spared because Ghazghkull likes beating the crap out of him. Yarrick has never won, or even been close to winning over Ghazghkull Thraka. He's just endured the onslaught in admirable fashion. His talent lies in defensive warfare. It would be out of character for him to actually defeat Ghazghkull.

Gabriel Seth or the High marshal should be the ones to kill that green lump.
