Another rule I saw from that "pancake 6th edition" thing was something like automatic first strike or hammer of wrath or something if you charge a unit that was engaged at the start of the assault phase
Personally I'd like to see sweeping advance change. Instead of kill everything it would be something like kill 1 model per survivor in the winning unit. Prevents that issue mentioned before of 30 Orks vs 10 Marines. Alternatively a numbers based combat res could work

At least that's how it is here. It would work quite well. If that's uncommon elsewhere, then you could always add a flat bonus for wiping the other unit out the hard way, something like +2.
Yeah I'm genuinely surprised when Orks win a combat. I send them to fight knowing I'll win on points trade and possibly wipe out a unit, but never win on res. its what makes the change from fearless to mob rule so terrible.
