I watch all 7 police academies.Generally get more painting down after the second movie.

And when those are done, I move on to other classics like Red Dawn, Navy SEALs, or anything with Arnie in it.

I like listening to music. I find that if I have the TV on I will start watching it and not painting. If it's just music then I can pint and have back ground noise. It doesn't help I truely despise painting but I don't like playing with unpainted models either

I put the TV on in the next room and look for something military related. Military History channel is good for this, so is American Heroes Channel.
Sometimes one of the other history ones. Depends on which give me the best offer.

Jeremy Clarkson is going to be the sole reason why I am going to purchase a subscription to Amazon Prime

Irony that you mention soldier/marine thing because I actually discovered Top Gear while deployed because it was on our computers as a Link to BBC news but they routed it incorrectly so we got BBC america instead

Sure you do. Everyone likes metal. Most people like metal they just never thought of as metal. Here, enjoy some metal you are all but guaranteed to like. https://youtu.be/uY3LAFJbKyY.

Ok, maybe not everyone likes metal - but it is so broad, it would be like saying, "I dislike pop." There is something for you in every genre, pinky promise.

I don't much like listening to music when I'm painting and modelling. I usually put on some TV, but nothing that demands too much attention. Usually one of the Star Trek series or a light sitcom.

I'll have the TV on in the background if I'm doing something incredibly boring (*cough* mold lines *cough* ).
For painting, usually podcasts or classical music. Nothing to distracting.

Take your word for it. There's about four years between this soundtrack being made and "If You Leave Me Now" being released. Perhaps Chicago stole the melody

It's a bit of a mix, but my favorites so far are the Ziggy Startdust album, and Space Oddity (the album)

Silence can sometimes be the best companion for painting, or for that matter, your own company.
