I thought about mentioning a necron as well, but the problem is how badly you need to damage one so it can't phase out, but I suppose maybe it's tomb was badly damaged in the Great Sleep, so they can't phase out?

I was thinking a Tyranid Genestealer? It would mean that there's a whole bigger problem on the way, with the main Hive Fleet coming?

All Crusade forces, the following is an update to current situations and further tasking from our Lord Commander.
All current forces have currently reached launching points and are engaging the Orks. On the Western Front, Strike Force Paetoria has linked with elements of the Wolverines Valiant 2nd company after the Wolverines established a bridgehead in the Grimdi sector. These forces have quelled the majority of the Orks and will be moving onto Chormi, a desert world with few cities but a breeding ground for the Orks. As requested I will be moving a Guard force to help divert Ork attention. The Garmoil 3rd (Captain Wikman Schwab) tank company and Forsian 7th Infantry Corp (Captain Brown) will attack the city of Vernon.

On the Grimdi, Strike Force Panther has linked with the 11th Forsian Calvary and reported to have found some disturbing *FILE DELETED*. With Grimdi under firm Imperial control they will be diverting into the Eastern front where there is believed to be a Traitor band of Iron Legion. I am assigning the 121st Cadian Infantry, commanded by Col. Truax to bolster this front. What planets and resources they find are yet to be determined.

Driving the center, Strike Force Hammer and the Black Templars are attacking the Blidia sector. Minimal losses have been sustained but full assault has yet to progress.

REPORT ON XENOS THREAT KNOWN: Currently we anticpate two warbands standing between us and further progress into the sector, standing forces are unknown. There has been an unknown ship heading towards Mogrok, all forces are monitoring and informed to stay out of range of Mogrok. Scouts have made contact with civilians fleeing all sectors, talk of traitor marines of the IX Legion follow.

All Forces, we have established contact in the Charadon sector but we need more resources and men. I am asking for all alliances to be forged and am raising the Imperial tithe on surrounding sectors. The Wolverines Valiant have sustained heavy losses in two companies but rest of forces remain unchanged.

May the Emperor bless our coming battles,
Lord Commander Karak
End Signal

Spoiler:

I may have miss placed some stuff, Imperial records and all. Also I will try to keep the Xenos records as well but please feel free to progress any side of the story, in moderation of course. I will be recruiting more Imperial forces for the Xenos to play with as they come along.

Commissar Donol lowered his smoking bolt pistol to his side, and wiped the blood of the crewman off his face. Stealing from the Emperor and his royal navy was one thing, attacking a commissar mid questioning is fething stupid. This is what happens when the Imperial Tithe is raised so quickly, to many thugs without proper training. Donol had read of the Charadon sector in his classes at the Schola Progenium. He had learned of the disaster at Rynn’s world, and the Crimson Fist demise. How many former Imperial worlds have been lost to the Ork incursion and how the Warlord Snagrod the Arch-Arsonist had established rule for years. How he had been swept up in the crusade to take back the lands he couldn’t understand nor did he care, he was here to unleash the Emperors justice and insure the newly founded 88th Amtev Infantry Corp.

His Corp was just a small part of the new field army being sent to join the crusade. Orders had not yet reached them of where the pieces would fall but Operation Red Curtain was underway and the might of the Emperor was due to hit the greenskins soon.

"Sire! Loyalist forces have intercepted data transmissions! They know we are here!" The cultist shrieked.

"Quiet! Do they know why we are here?" Archarus asked to the man.

"N-no, lord. They remain as ignorant as ever." The man said, staring at Archarus' feet in fear of his master.

"Good. I have had enough bad news for the time being. The orks have fought against us being able to land on their pathetic excuse of a planet. But, as always, we have endeared and fortifications have been made. It seems the orks are acting more coherently, but I cannot tell for sure." Archarus said, and the cultist risked a glance at Acharus' face, feeling reasonably assured at his good mood.

Archarus noticed the man's gaze, but did nothing of it. Let him stare, Archarus thought. Let him feel safe. Little does he know he is to meet the orks head within the next few days.

Archarus turned away from the man, who stood there relieved that he had survived the encounter. As Archarus left the man he reached for his vox. +Archarus. I want all battle brothers to meet at the hall. We must prepare to land on the planet and guide the Flesh to battle. The orks will not want us to expand our territory, but we will not let savages stop us. We never have before. Meet me in precisely one hour. Don't. Be. Late.+

Aurelius here.

We're in high anchor over Chormi right now. A few boarding actions over Ork Roks and Kroozas in orbit have been carried out, with large success. Three of my brothers are recovering from minor damage taken. The ships have been dropped onto the planet's surface, right over the Ork's heads, with most of their forces on board. Such is the wrath of the Adeptus Astartes.
We'll commence assault on the primary city, Chormidial, when you command, my lord.

What I am more concerned with is the allowance of ships to breach our blockade and head to Mogrok. My augurs support the findings of my brothers, with an unmarked Luna class Cruiser approaching the world at full speed.
What is on that world that we don't know? No Imperial force that we know of has been deployed there, and the reports of unknown forces mobilizing there has me concerned.

Give one of us a chance to scout the planet, just to see what in Terra is going on down there.

Emperor be with you,
Acting-Captain Aurelius

A Hole in the Ground

THIS COMMUNICATION HAS BEEN BROADCAST BY THE KOR'MYEN'KAUYON,
OF THE SA'CEA SEPT OF THE ILLUSTRIOUS T'AU EMPIRE.

Honourable Gue'la'o, Lord General Kruger Zonand.
I am known by Shas'O Shi'ur Mont'yr Sa'cea Vral Vash'Mal'Caor, by your tongue, Commander Voidspider. We come with good tidings.
We shall assist in your crusade to remove the Be'gel menace from this cluster you name the Charadon sector, with all my fleet and brethren beside me.
These worlds have languished too long in their uncultured savagery, and must be enlightened by the Greater Good.
In return for our much needed assistance, we demand half of all worlds released to be integrated into the T'au Empire, and for the colonies created to be subsequently immune to any and all attempts of recolonisation by your Gue'la. We also demand to be integrated directly into your Gue'la'chiagor, command structure, and share complete force amalgamation. A small gesture of your Iur'tae'mont, don't your think?
Together, the stars can shine for both of us, under the light of the Greater Good!

Failure to accept these generous offers, which my comrades advise me to, will result in the Kor'Myen'Kauyon and all it's Kir'qath'Ta'lissera becoming hostile immediately and scattering your forces into the abyss where you shall languish in your Mont'au ways.

Your choice, Gue'la'o. Unity, or immediate annihilation. Your choice.
We generously grant you two Rotaa (30 Terran hours) to inform your commanders and join us.

For the Greater Good!

Aboard the Dakkanator Kaptin Grinbad stood alone on the metallic stage of the WAAAGH! room. In this small stadium he had gathered all the members of his WAAAGH! council. His Inner WAAAGH council consisted of Big Mek BrainBreaka, Eadbanger Zed KlockWog, Krem BootBlazer, Gadnuk Eadwoppa, Kernal RuntWhippa, Togg Uhgrimm, and Kaptins Lud and Zlock. The members of the outer council, (which numbered in the hundreds) were just nobs in good favor with the Kaptin, usually Flash Gitz and Boss nobs. The massive Ork freebooter looked to the mass gathered before him and smiled.

"Alright boyz lissen and lissen good. We got a Job to do." The ork clicked a button on a remote and a holographic model of a planet appeared. "Dis right here is Mogrok, we have been paid to make sure dat neither dem omies, nor dem kaos boyz zog up what dey got cookin down dere. Da Dakkanator and Da BlitzaBonker are gonna stay here to guard da planet. Da Mork's Revenge has a special mission to intercept a omie freebooter dat calls demselves Rogue Traders." Kaptin Lud spoke "Boss what's dis Git worth to us, I ain't complaining or nuffin". Grinbad threw the clicker at the lesser Warboss, "Raise yer zoggin hand" the ork rubbed the area on his head where he was hit and spoke "sorry boss".
Kaptin Grinbad pulled another remote from his trousers and continued. "To answer Kaptin Lud's question, da omie has some artifact dat we need to get back to Mogrok". Mek BrainBreaka raised his hand. The ork Kaptin pointed at him "speak". Da mek spoke with care not to offend "Boss If you don't mind me askin, why is dis wurld so important, looks like a pile of squig droppings if ya ask me." Da boss responded with a sense of excitement.
" da boyz down on Mogrok found something big, something related to da Warp, I don't understand what it is but deez boyz seem to think it's da key to winin dis war." The Kaptin clicked his remote and the holo globe zoomed onto a large island. "Dis is where dey found da ruins. Boss Bone Rippa has a Weirdboy studying da fing and I figured he could use a hand, so Zed you and da rest of da weird boyz are gonna go down to da planet and figure dis out. Mister BrainBreaka I'm tasking you with setting up fortifications, I want Old Booma on da surface as soon as possible. Any questions".
Grinbad waited and the room was silent. The hulking pirate smiled "Right then, let's go make some Zoggin money" the whole room erupted in cheers and WAAAGHS.

Communication link….searching….searching…Tau fleet found….broadcast located.
Commander Voidspider, this is Chapter Master Harbo of the Wolverines Valiant. I speak on behalf of the Imperial forces present here and Imperial forces across the galaxy. We find your “offer” to be none other than a hidden threat. We do not know what species you have met on your travels but humanity does not take to threats. You speak of some “greater good”, there is no greater good than the all Holy Emperor, and such talk is heresy. The Tau offer an olive branch in one hand and a knife in the other and spit on our Emperors throne. We reject your offer and give you 24 hours to vacate the Charadon sector before our forces engage on sight.

Connection ended

Harbo nods to the holy graph displaying the other leaders of the Crusade. All nod back and know they have done the Emperor proud. Knowing the Tau would not leave, the Lord General had already sent reinforcements to the Tau sectors. The Imperial guard would see whose gunlines were better in this Crusade.

Lord General, our orders remain in place. No Imperial force is to enter Mogrok, on pain of death.
You are dealing with the problem admirably. The Deathwatch have nearly completed their task. You shall witness its effects soon.

We require you to move all Imperial assets you wish to keep intact to at least a distance of 193.5 million kilometers away from Mogrok at soon as possible. If you obey, no harm shall come to your forces.

The Inquisition are watching.

For the eyes of Crusade Command ONLY
--Vermillion level encryption--
--Combat log of Brother Eperus, attached to Kill Team Alpha, under Sergeant Claudio--
--Report begins T+7 days after insertion--

"That's it." Eperus whispers over the squad vox to the kill team. A large, pyramidal shape juts out from the cracked, eggshell surface of Mogrok, looming ominously over the crater lip surrounding it. "That's the source."
"++And you're sure this time?++" Brother Haakon snarls back. "++That last structure was just a-++"
"I'm sure." Eperus retorts.

He performs a quick scan over the basin of the crater, searching for any signs of recent activity. Nothing. Desolate, barren, empty.
Slinging his modified bolter over his shoulder, he raises to a kneeling position and pushes himself off from the ledge.
The fall is slow and silent, the planet's feeble gravity gently lowering the black-armoured Astartes down till his ceramite boots touch the ashen grey surface. The sniper scans the terrain again.

"All clear."
"++You heard him,++" Sergeant Claudio barks. "++Advance to the target site.++"

Over Eperus' head, four figures leap over the lip of the crater, all clad in the same ebony armour. They continue to sprint as fast as the gravity will let them over the wasteland, before reaching the boxy pyramid and leaning up against it's smooth flank.
"++Sepheran, make an entrance. Karrack, you've got point.++"
"++I live to serve, Sergeant.++"
A marine, toting a combi-melta moves away from the door, and blasts a circular hole through the wall. No sound can be heard through the airless void. The melta's heat melts the surface, causing it to drip over the armour of the Astartes who runs in a split-second later.

"++Karrack, what do you see?++" Claudio has unsheathed his power axe at this point, it's blue blade shimmering off his armour.
"++Empty, Sergeant. Just corridors. No signs of any occupants. Yet.++"
"++Good, Haakon, Sepheran, we go in. Eperus, you're covering us. Get the entry point and keep it clear.++"
The sniper nods in affirmation, and sets up by the rough, cooling doorway. The metal has already begun to condense far faster than any standard metal ever could. Eperus raps his shoulder in good luck. Claudio returns the gesture.

"++Blackshield, you're on point again.++"
"++Wonderful.++"
Eperus watches as the four Deathwatch descend deeper into the bowels of the structure. Haakon gives a grin, his feral smile being the last thing he sees.

In the distant atmosphere, Eperus sees the blinking lights of starships approaching. Hostiles.
Eperus mutters to no-one in particular.
"Samson, you'd better have us clear for evac."

***** quietly on the bridge later, all busied about the ship as the Marshall watched the fleet in orbit, another landing commenced, another planet to be purged

Brother SGT Tangir inform Eternal Crusader that this sector is worse than we thought, be prepared to have reserves waiting if required. the Tau come, Orks, and Traitor Marines, we do not want to be spread thin, that is to invite being picked off one by one.

Dagwur watched through his tellyskope as the long line of humie tanks rolled into the valley.

"Deyz dere, boss. Juz' like you sed dey'd be."

"Of course deyz dere," Da Prophet rasped, "Juz like I sed da 'umiez was commin' an dey came. Juz like I sed ta ally wit Skullkrusha and ya'll gits was tinkin' 'e would'n go fer it, an I told ya ta mention da blue beakies an den 'e did. Juz like evytime I sed sumtin' an den it 'appens. Dat's why I winz twice as much wit 'arf da boyz of enny dumb warboss on dis rock. Why you still doubtin' me, Dagwur?"

Da Prophet held up the sack doll he always carried with him and started to to squeeze. Dagwur felt a sudden, crushing pressure on his torso.

"I...I wuzzn't doubtin' boss! Honest! Da prophet iz Nevah wrong! I wuz juz sayin' what I wuz seein' iz all!"

Da Prophet eased his grip on the doll. The pressure eased. Dagwur gasped in relief. "You wuz juz statin' da obvious, ya dumb git," Rakdeff said, "Iz they all in yet?"

Dagwur double checked his tellyskope. "Yeah boss, it lookz like deyz all in da valley."

"Good," Da Prophet said, grinning wickedly, "Press da button."

Dagwur pulled a big metal box covered in antennas out of his musty sack. He pressed the single, large red button on the box.

Explosions ripped apart the valley walls. Massive avalanches rained down from both sides of the canyon onto the Imperial Guard artillery company.

"Oh, noze!" Da Prophet said in a high, screechy voice that he used when he was impersonating humies, "Da clevva plan we'z 'ad ta put a whole lotta big gunz way back behind our boyz an shoot da orkz ta piecez before dey could get close cuz we'z a buncha cowardz is all mucked up! Ow'd dey do it? Ow'd dey git us? We'z all know we 'umiez iz so much smarta den dem stoopid greeniez!"

Several of the nobs chuckled at Da Prophet's antics. The roar of engines and the crank of lumbering joints sounded near the canyon lip. Rakdeff frowned. Dagwur looked through his tellyskope again.

"Da Shreddaz an' Clankaz iz movin' in early, boss."

"Wot!?" Rakdeff scowled, and grabbed Dagwur's tellyskope from him. Sure enough, the Killa Kanz and Warbikes had all started pilling in, tearing open tanks and blasting away humie infantry as they dodged and weaved between falling boulders. Not all of them were successful at dodging the rocks.

"They'z supposed ta wait till tha rockz STOP fallin', tha dumb gits." Rakdeff snapped irritably, "Oh wellz, it ain't dat important if some of 'em git crumped. Let's gun on ovah. We'z need ta loot az many a' doze 'umie wagonz as we can. An' see if sum 'o da really big missiles survived. I wanna put 'em on da totem ta da godz. After dat, we'z gonna 'ed to da 'umie airstrip 'an jack us a ship."

Dagwur turned to Da Prophet in confusion, "Wot we need a ship fer, boss?"

"Ta git ta Mogrok."

Dagwur felt more confused than ever. "Wot da crump's on Mogrok?"

"Everytin'."

Dagwur sighed. It was no good trying to learn more when Da Prophet was in one of his secretive moods. "But why'd we go ta' all dis trubble ta muck up da' 'umiez if we'z leavin'?"

Da Prophet flashed Dagwur a smug grin, "Ya see, dis 'ere iz why I'M da boss. Boyz see you make gadgetz an' tink you'z cunnin'. But dat ain't cunnin'. Dat'z juz instinkt. All da warbosses 'ere 'az forgotten 'ow ta be cunnin'. Gork an' Mork are cunninly brutal an' brutally cunnin', but da warbosses iz only 'alf, so dey'z only 'alf blessed. I iz fully blessed which iz why I iz gunna be in charge when dis iz all ovah. Gork an' Mork tellz me wot's wot and wot's really 'appenin'. Now you'z wanna know why we'z mucked up da "umiez? Two reasons. One, so da "umiez can't go turnin' deze big gunz on us when we'z takin' a ship, an two, ta help da udda bosses stick it to da 'umiez real good, see? Cuz we 'az an alliance an' I'm nice like dat. We'z leavin dis dump. Da 'umiez ain't. Oh, dey'll be 'umiez on Mogrok, but a lot less dan dere'd be if we 'adn't dun what we dun today. Dey'z gonna get bogged down 'ere real good."

Dagwur nodded in admiration. Da Prophet really was cunning.

"EY!" Da Prophet yelled angrily, "WHY'Z YOU ALL MUCKIN ABOUT!? I SED GUN IT FOREVAH AGO! NOW STEP ON DA METAL OR I'LL MAKE YA A 'OOD ORNAMENT!"

The drivers, who had been distracted snooping in on Da Prophet's plans, jammed their feet on the gas. The battlewagons and trukks roared to life and boyz fired wildly in the air as they descended on the now nearly completely obliterated artillery company.

To all Imperial Forces, I ask if any are in position to intercept and harass Ork Forces destined for Mogrok. I also ask for all to find the Chaos scum who taint this sector.

A governor shall be provided, my Lt General will fill in for the time being. Our artillery brigade was recently decimated by the Orks. Be aware our seige forces are now below strength until reinforcements arrive.

The krieg brigades have sufficient guns intact, ammunition is good, primary bombardment cannons are still well supplied.

Can break ork forces with minimal assistance, will require garrison force to replace lost PDF units to mop up and keep the reinents at bay without support and allow our fleet to leave and deal with other problems in this sector.

Planetary assault to commence within hours.
