I started painting figs back in the late 70's when we discovered D&D and Citadel, Ral Partha, etc.. I was already a keen modeller, so painting little metal figures was a logical extension of that. When Roger Trader morphed into W40K I loved the whole idea behind it, the figures, the fluff (and eventually the pre Black Library novels), and I still pick up the brushes and have another crack at the figures even though I've no interest at all in war-games, I still have enough of a creative bent to want to paint figures and assemble plastic models. Time is always a factor though, as is money - mortgage, bills, etc to pay for, paintballing, restoring that motorbike in the garage...

"Bloody typical, they've gone back to metric without telling us."

"As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh haven't you?"

"We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!"

"Mind the oranges Marlon!"
