Some scouts! These are actually Land Speeder storm scouts - I bought the sprue off eBay thinking it was the regular scout sprue, and well... it wasn't! So I had to a bit of converting, but the result is now quite unique!

I have also kitbashed myself a Grey Knight Brotherhood Champion. It's been a while since I attended to my Grey Knight force, so this was very satisfying.

After saying my Divine Exorcists were finished, I decided the army would be radically improved by giving the marines some transportation, so here is the first of possibly two rhinos, painted to a basic standard.

I love space marine dreadnoughts. I have always loved space marine dreadnoughts, so why did I have so few up until now? Who knows. Maybe it was fear of those fists. I decided to start remedying this problem by picking up a couple of Black Reach dreadnoughts and painting them up for the Divine Exorcists. I now have a trio of them when they are added to the existing dread, Damascinos.

This is the latest addition to my Dark Angels force - a command squad. Command squads and other elite, customisable units, are my favourite thing to build, because their options mean you can really create whatever you like. This squad therefore have a mixture of Dark Angel, Blood Angel and other parts to create something that hopefully has a lot of dynamism.I particularly like the posing of most of the models. It's not easy to get that right, actually, when you are mixing and matching parts from various models. I usually cut and rotate arm portions to get the poses right. It's quite easy to do that with plastic models and a sharp knife.

This squad was also the first in which I used my new magnifier. This goes over my head and has magnifying lenses in front of my face. This just makes it a little easier to paint details and to be neat. I think the neatness on these is a step up from many of my previous infantry. I say infantry, because comparing infantry to monsters or vehicles is not a fair comparison, since I paint them in different ways.

I'll be painting some more Dark Angels soon, since my friend Steve just gave me a box of models, including many Dark Vengeance models, and I plan to add these to the force. However, I have many other models to paint before that!

I am pleased to say that I have finally finished my first ever flyer! I know, right? How did I take so long to paint up a flyer? Well I love this model and feel I've done a decent job here. What do you think?

At some point, I said that my Divine Exorcists army was done. I should have known that would be wrong! I got hold of some really cheap old dreadnoughts and some drop pods, and so some of these models would be good for bolstering the ranks of the Divine Exorcists space marines. All of these are second hand, and have been painted over the original paintjob (given that the original paintjobs weren't too thick). I do like a bargain. I have also started using a different camera, so hopefully these shots are more in focus than previous ones.

First, my first ever space marine drop pod!

Dreadnought Cratin Diori, and a shot of the dread and drop pod together. I now have four dreadnoughts for the Divine Exorcists.

I've been busy this week, spurred on by the fact that my pictures have never looked better, and I motivated by the sound of the audiobooks of the Horus Heresy series. These books are quite gripping, and there's nothing better to accompany an evening of painting!

Today's first model is a Dark Angels Razorback. The rhino is brand new, but the turret is reclaimed from an old model. It's slightly wonky, but as my friend Martin said, space marines are tramping around the galaxy, getting into trouble, so it makes sense that some of their equipment might fall into disrepair.

I have also finished some scenery - a few small houses for general use. I painted the walls red in the style of rural Swedish houses.
