Let Tactical Marines take two Special Weapons. The Grav Cannon was a step in the right direction, but I'd rather just take two Plasma Guns or Melta Guns. Hell, the fact that Salamanders don't have Heavy Flamers available is terrible too.

The Space Wolf players would cry foul. GH have only been able to do that since... forever.

They can have their cheap CCW's back as well (make them 14 base with the CCW, and then Tactical Marines can buy them for +1 point). I personally don't care if the Space Wolf player complains. If anything, the space Wolf player should be showing sympathy.

Tell you what, how about DE get Skyboards and Eldar lose Fortune?

That will also solve the problem without screwing over an already underpowered army because of eldar psychic nonsense.

I would be fine with that.

I think the best way to approach this is to revert to a system that has a static point cost across army lists (each Stat has a point metric), instead of arbitrarily coming up with point costs for types of units. Then, you can have flavor without near as much worry of OP.

Systems like that don't account for synergy.

And the current way does?

Ah the word synergy. Another name for an unbalanced game. Can't or refuse to make properly costed points for minis, use the word Synergy. Voila, everything is balanced now.

*edit* forgot to add mine. How about Stealers assaulting into cover and strike at current initiative.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

-Big Shootas have pinning.
-Stikkbomb Chukkas allows a passenger to fire a 12"range Str 4 AP - heavy 3 barrage blast.
-Zzap Guns can overcharge dealing 1 wound with no saves to the gun itself and killing D3 crew but fires at Str 10 AP2.
-Ramshackle is a 6+ to ignore the damage result on the damage table. All Ork vehicles have the Ramshackle rule. Trukks have a 4+ Ramshackle.
-Each Nob, Meganob, Flash Git, Painboyz. Big Mek, and Warboss (plus all the named characters) adds +1 leadership to the unit. Leadership over 10 becomes fearless.

The Leman Russ Punisher is bumped to being S6 with Rending. It is the big brother of the Assault Cannon, firing the same ammunition as it but it has less strength and no rending? WTF GW?

The Leman Russ chassis as a hole regain Lumbering Behemoth and become HP 4

Free from GW's tyranny and the hobby is looking better for it

Spore Units
(Mucolid, Meiotic, Mines)

Currently:
When they deep-strike and scatter onto an enemy unit, they've mishapped and are simply removed from play.

Suggestion:
When they deep-strike and scatter onto an enemy unit, they should detonate as they would normally.

Very simple, fluffy and realistic change that makes those units much more interesting.

Give a skyfire special rule all dreads and vehicles when they do not move. Or give them optional equipment that do that.

Unit: All Tau units with the Supporting Fire rule.

Change: Replace Supporting Fire with something similar to Darksrider's special retreat rule.

Reason: Because gunlines are boring as both a Tau player and the opponent. This rule will encourage players to move their Tau up field where they can make the most of their firepower and to take the chance of going after objectives.

Tau and Space Wolves since 5th Edition.

Give Honour Guard the ability to take Storm Shields or Combat Shields. They are Honour GUARD after all, they should be protecting the Chapter Master, not dropping like flies.
