Eldar are not the problem. The problem with 40K is points are not costed properly for anything. So if a Space Marine can't be costed properly compared to as mentioned how can anything else be costed properly?

Um, CSM have a 6th Edition codex, Space Marines are 7th, gakker. And the still have Veterans of the Long War anyway so why are you complaining? For anything to be useful in SM you need upgrades which quickly increases point cost, especially for HQ's.

Lets also not forget that SM's got a book in late 2013 and then a 7E book about 18 months later while CSM's are on year 3 of their book, which wasn't particularly great even in 6E aside from Baledrake spam.

Because it doesn't come anywhere near the utility of both ATSKNF and Chapter Tactics, and is hilariously overcosted on most units.

For anything to be useful in SM you need upgrades which quickly increases point cost, especially for HQ's.

And this doesn't apply just as equally to CSM's...why?
