I know that the wikia is not the best source, but it is the most convenient. But I would hope they would at least police their articles to keep fanfic out of it.

You might hope, but you would be disappointed.

Also, Ribbon, I am most disappointed it you, linking that drivel :p

Malal, or Malice, or whatever you may call him, is a walking paradox. He wants to destroy the other Chaos Gods but he wouldn't be able to exist without them, as indeed he grows stronger as the other gods do. You could say it's a god of anarchy and self-destruction, probably the purest aspect of Chaos itself.

Also, Malal kicks ass and Andy Hoare sucks donkey dick. My Malal-worshipping CSM warband says so.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

So in Malice's lore it says he grows in power when the other gods do, how does the other gods growing in power make him more powerful? Also if that were true wouldn't he be a extremely powerful god?

He has no power. All we know about Malice is that he's an absolute nobody hyped up Daemon in the warp who is the patron of a single Chapter of Space Marines. That's it. He's probably no better than the moderately powerful Greater Daemons of the Chaos Gods considering he has never shown up since.

That is a rather good description of Malice I must say, also do you have a theory on why he grows in power when the other gods do?

I would say he is definitely no where near in power as the big four, but from the lore we do know of him I would think he has far more power than a normal Greater Daemon.

All we know about him is some hype and rituals from the Sons of Malice and him possessing the body of the eleventh sacrifice. There's no reason to assume Malice is powerful at all, hell for all we know he may just result in a potent daemonhost.

Well with the slight amount of lore we do know and the large amount of unknown info It is safe to say that idea can travel both roads, yes? He may not have of much power and he may actual have some power. The line saying "he grows in power when the other gods do" does make me think he probably has a good amount of power, not any where near the big four as I said before though.

I thought he reknit the 11 heroes into a single, new body?

Regardless, I agree with the underlying point. For all we know the 'Renegade God', might just be a particularly ambitious chaos fury, right?

Heroes of the Space Marines (Anthology) - The Labyrinth by Richard Ford (it's cited as a source on the wikia page)

I would note however that Andy Hoare - who wrote the Renegade Sons Index Astartes article - once stated in a discussion in the Oldhammer Facebook Group that Malice isn't a god and that the author of said story made a mistake.

"Isnt" a god. Why would Black Lib publish it if it wasnt 100% going to be canon?

Yes possibly but that is why we are theorizing with what information we have on him, the lack of info leaves room for speculation and who knows maybe some one will think of a very interesting point.

Just because Sons of Malice venerate Malice as a God doesn't make him so.

Same as chaos cultists deifying a Helbrute doesn't make that dreadnought a god either.

I don't think that you understand Chaos, bud. Believing in it is exactly what makes it so.
